Operating for 7 years and filling 15,000+ orders is pretty successful for an online dealer. I can't count all the ones I've seen come and go over the past 7 years. It looks like he is a pretty smart guy though and hopefully he had the insight to put back some cash for precisely this moment. You can't sell like that and expect to never get caught.

They said he put up $25k cash bond, which is a good sign. They also said that his checking account was over $350k. Anytime Law Enforcement knows what your checking account balance is, its usually a really bad sign.
15,000 orders though! He was damn successful! If the feds waited this long to nail him that means they were compiling a shitload of evidence. $1 million in attorney fees will not save his butt.
