I saw this video yesterday.

Beyond anger, even comprehension...

This shit can make you loose faith in humanity!

News story first:

Chinese toddler Yueyue run over by van shocks China

Thats horrible . Im like Pick, I read something about today and Im not watching it either. What a shame..
 
its not gory, but just despicable people can walk by a little girl mangled in the street dying probably
 
something similiar happened here in the states too, a homeless guy helped a woman fend off a mugging and got shot for his efforts....even the woman whom he helped didn't even bother to call it in. Dude got walked by for like an hour. Yeah i the first link showed the edited version of the vid but you can still clearly see alot of fluid beside the girl which meant she was bleeding out....the people who nonchalantly walked by her should be executed as would be my decree if I was King. So many people in this world should go to bed every night with a smug sense of satisfaction that I was not made overwatch of this place. Things would be so much different. People would get held to the fire.
 
I have a couple of friends who've lived in China for a couple of years.

Chinese people are basically animals.

They literally take shits in the streets(and let their kids do it), EVERYONE spits ALL the time (including females). They push you in the streets when walking to get by etc.

Maybe they could learn a thing from other parts of asia, instead of being the ngrs of the Asian culture.

i can't really say i'm surprised based on what my friends have told me
 
Just watched it, holy shit. So its finally come to this. I was expecting a crowded chaotic street with people too much in a hurry to notice a small girl bleeding on the street, but nothing else is happening there. shockingly, one by one, the bystanders stroll by without a care in the world. The first guy literally walks around her without as much as a glance down. I must say Ive never seen anything like that vid. Totally disgusting
 
no don't watch it cindy, superdave put it about right. People literally almost stepping over her. And it's pretty clear this little girl ain't takin a nap. I have no explanations. Not that I condone, but at least I understand the driver who hit her not stopping cause he figured his life was over. The people walking by though have nothing to lose whatsoever by calling for help. It's completely flummoxing. Just robots going about their day. That's what's ahead for the human race if we don't wake the fuck up.
 
that made me incredibly sad. I wonder what goes through their minds as they stare and walk by without breaking stride.

shit like this has been happening in america for ages and happens every year, with a case I read not too long ago of pple seeing a guy get shot somewhere in Brooklyn i think and no one helped. I still remember the thread of the homeless hero who saved a woman from attacker, got stabbed and lay in street bleeding dying while many pple many just passed w/o helping. its so hard for me to comprehend the whole bystander effect going on in these situations.

are we so self absorbed that we hardly can grasp reality of what is happening? or maybe we fully comprehend but fear acting on it.....and rationally why blame them, although i'd think instinct to help another would take over here

IDK about china, but I could supposedly try to help someone by pulling them out of a house that was on fire and they could sue me for my heroic deed; trespassing, damaging door/property, maybe they twisted their ankle while i was trying to save their life so get sued for their injuries, sexual harassment for doing CPR and so on. Or in schools, they wont even give you a band-aid for cuts, ect unless you sign contract.

I read somewhere else that apparently there is some fucked up laws in China regarding being a Good Samaritan. I.e. that many people who help get successfully sued and as a result people avoid the situations all together now.

why is a two year old walking in the street alone, and her parents weren't even nearby when she got hit?

I also wonder if this has anything to do with females in China. If it was a little boy, i wonder if it would have been different. due to the population laws in China, having a little girl is a huge disappointment. they're basically 2nd class citizens

She apparently lives near that street and had wandered out to play with her brother. I'm guessing it took a minute from mom realizing she had gone out to finding where she had gone.
 
seriously? so the woman who pulled the girl out of the street could get sued? the fuck for? if that's true then I recant my prior comments, I absolutely understand. What a fucked culture if that's true. None of us would help either if we would get successfully sued and have our lives ruined.

Actually I would still help but whisper to the mother all the unspeakable acts I would perpertrate against her and the rest of her family if she dared punish me for my helping.

This article explains a prior court case, which set a precedent to this case:

China's hit-run scandal: Yue yue dies

A judge in Nanjing actually stated: "Only the guilty help" !!!! In a ruling.

Why couldn't this judge get run over and left for dead in the street without help?

Btw, all judges in China are CP members and get their position through connections, not merit.
