quick question about 5x5

my gym doesnt have 2.5 lb weights so every time i increase the weight on an excersise, it has to be in at least 10 lb increments. I'm a newbee so i've been able to add 10 lbs per week with no problems so far. but i'm not sure what to do when i start to plateau. any suggestions?

5x5 is all about overload and gradual progression, therefore, I'd be picking a weight that you can do for say, 5-5-4-3-2 (or something similar), and aiming to increase the reps with each workout. Once you get all 5 reps on each set, then increase the weight by the 10lbs that you have to...

i have the same problem with barbell curling in my gym, they have premade barbells with 10 to 110 pounds, and i dont wanna take up an olympic bar just for curls. so i use 90 pounds and do 5x5x5x4x4. hopefully next bicep day ill be able to do a full 5x5 with it.
