In the morning would it be ok to replace oats with special K?

Also is lowfat yogurt mixed with granola a good pre-workout meal? Im currently just trying to put on some lean mass with minimal fat gain, although given my current size I would have a hard time gaining fat.

The leaner you want to be the more cardio and protein you need.

If you're trying to bulk I don't think special K is a big deal, but it is not optimal... if you're trying to gain, I hope special K isn't the only thing u're eating for breakfast though.

Stick with the oats.. you can mix some cinnamon and splenda for flavor

dairy makes you retain water weight, since you want to gain muscles with minimal fat gain.. I would recommend to stick with whole grains, potatoes, etc..
if you want for a pre workout meal.. you can mix a fruit, whey protein and some peanut butter in a blender and you will have a smoothie :)

Oats are my choice for morning food due to them being easy to make and cheap.

Or try Wheat Germ in the yogurt instead of Granola to reduce the carb content and up the Vit E, EFA's and other vitamins that are in the WGerm.

WGerm needs be be kept fridgerated
