lol 5 tbsp ? That's all you got? ... I can easily eat the jar ... and have :)

WTF is it with this stuff, some love it some hate it ... it grew on me that's for sure. Oddly enough I fat load VERY well from PB. I dare not try it again.

In reply to the original question, I would do what lifter suggested, turn the jar upside down to keep it room temp and still creamy. If you plan to keep it around for awhile it's better to keep it in the fridge after opening to help preserve it longer (also helps keeps the oil separation) ... scientific details as to why? No friggin clue, just recommended on the jar.

Scientifically speaking, its the density of the butter versus that of the oil.

And I have to agree, it's an acquired taste for ANPB.....

Anyone try the smart balance natural peanut butter? 1,000mg of omega-3's & 1,300mg Omega-6 per serving. After having that any other NPB makes me want to gag. I live in the southeast so i can only find it in Publix grocery stores cant find in kroger. Not sure if you can find it up north. Good shit though! ;)

bad thing is smt balance pb is not all natty. read the ingredients bro, full of other shit that makes it bad. i've had it it is good, but that is the kicker, it's too good to be natty. stick with smuckers

Yeah, I've tried it. But it doesn't taste as good as regular ANPB.

To answer the first question, I refrigerate it because I always figured it'd spoil if I didn't, since it says refrigerate after opening on the jar.

I hate when it turns to rock too.

I like Crazy Richard's the best.....

I keep it in the fridge too - but have found that letting it sit out for a couple minutes (if you can resist it that long!) helps it "thaw" a bit......

I used to keep mine in the fridge...

until one day I dropped the fucker on my bare foot... was like droppin a god damn cinder block on my toes! :chomp: OUCH! :chomp:

Since then its been in the cabinet so I can just open up the door and grab it and sit it straight down onto the counter. I wont make that toe-smashing mistake again

Know this is kind of off subject... But what makes ANPB so good??? what is it about it??

(BTW, i keep mine upside down in cabinet, the oil seperation is on the other end when I turn 'er up)
