I'm going to agree with Milo on this one. Somewhere along the line she has associated a loving relationship with being dominated, and/or being inferior to your partner. (I do too, especially at such a young age) Since people tend to think that what they grew up seeing is how it is "supposed to be", more or less, then there may be some darker things going on in her life.
