Que's Journey begins

Hi que_66

I'm new to the forum but I know EXACTLY how you feel. I hate to say it but I think it's the turning 40 thing. I magically gained 15 lbs what seems overnight 3 and half years ago when I turned 40. I do have a desk job but I don't think that was it. Your body adapts to daily routines so fast that even though I was walking to and from work ( total of 60 minutes, and I'm a fast walker), I still gained. In February of this year I finally to take back the time that was MINE. felt a little guilty at first but at least I've managed to shed 18 lbs and I feel much better. I don't usually have time to work out until after dinner and finish up at around 10pm but I sleep WAY better and I'm a much better person for it. Is there no way you can slip in at least a half hour for yourself. Maybe a circuit one day and then cardio the next.

Chin up I know it's hard but you should really try and find a way. :)

I am so very frustrated.

I’m trying to eat healthy and make sensible choices, I still track everything that goes in my mouth but the lack of a controlled, deliberate exercise regimen clearly shows. I weigh the same but my clothes are tighter and I look “squishy.” The fat isn’t going anywhere and I think I’m loosing muscle instead.

Working 2 jobs doesn’t leave a lot of time for anything but sleeping and playing catch up and I can’t give up any more sleep because I don’t get enough of that now. Getting 6 hrs or less every nite is starting to show.

I’ve even asked a few friends about how I could tweak my routine so that I’m maximizing my time in-between jobs to get normal stuff taken care of (laundry, cleaning, etc.) I’m tweaked out.

You’d think that the constant activity at job 2 would be sufficient to burn the calories that I’m taking in but it isn’t. (I’m still running 10-12x bodyweight for my calorie range & I take Sesapure, CB & Glucorell religiously.) Yes, I’m active the entire time I’m at job 2 and I even try to break a sweat every day that I work but I’m here to tell you that just being “more active” and not working out deliberately and not lifting just isn’t freakin working for me. I wish I knew how to get paid to exercise.

I miss exercising.

I miss muscle soreness.

I miss my quiet time or my “me” time that lifting provided.

I don’t like being squishy.

Obviously this wasn’t the plan I had for myself at age 40. :finger:

I get home about 10:30pm and by the time I get the dog out and get ready for bed it's close to 11pm. The alarm goes off at 5am.

The time between job 1 & 2 is minimal and when the weather gets bad this winter I'm sure I'll be late.

If there's any time left for me I don't know where it's hiding.

I see. What are the chances to find a job that would eliminate the need for two?

So far, nothing local for my current skillset and I can't drive to a bigger town (Indy or Louisville) because neither vehicle is in good enough shape to make those trips repeatedly.

Starter on the car died and the transmission is going out on it too. Truck leaks fuel but I'm supposed to be getting that fixed today or tomorrow......gotta check with the mechanic so keep your fingers crossed.

I keep trying to explore every avenue, alley, nook & cranny but nuttin so far. The only reason I'm at the pc is cuz I'm payin bills...lol...I have to mow, grocery shop and see if I can get the truck fixed.

what about a home gym that you could make payments on?

Maybe someday (I do look in the newspaper for ppl selling their workout equipment ;) )For right now the finances just aren't there AND to top it off I smacked myself in the face and my front tooth is loose now so I'll probably have to go to the dentist soon. I have sh*t for luck. I refuse to give up.

Well that just sucks! Can you buy like one piece at a time (a weight here, a barbell there)?

and OUCH, again that SUCKs!!!!!

sending you positive vibes.......

My pants are tight & that's not good. Spent the weekend workin on playin catch up as usual but I didn't get the yard mowed. I DID get some time with Da GranPunkin  :qt: and the truck got worked on and isn't currently leaking any fuel. :arty:
(Mechanic payment: 1 case of beer ;) )

Just like I bad penny..............I keep comin back.

Do you know why that bad penny keeps coming back?

It refuses to give up.

Every time I get down (or get knocked down) I will get back up.

I'm contemplating the purchase of an elliptical, possibly used or a refurb. Nothing fancy just a basic elliptical machine that I can squeeze a few minutes on every day. I don't want to pay a ton in shipping so I'm looking locally. I've looked at the models at WM and the mid-priced one seems to have a decent stride length. Sorry I don't remember the make/model of that one but it's less than #$300

 :qt: :rose: I have the GranPunkin all day today  :qt: :rose:

lol I love paying in neverage! How's the toof Qtip?!

Have a wonderful day with the GranPun!! I think the used eliip will be a good idea, I hope that works out for you.

:rose:

Have a great weekend :rose:

I have a toofache 24/7/365

 GranPunkin wore me out..............and I LOVED IT!!!

I am trying to squeeze at least 15 min out of my day for an elliptical - - - I'm getting better at tweaking my schedule so now I just need to find an elliptical machine within my price range. (Xmas bonus is gonna pay for it unless something else breaks...LOL)

Thanks for stoppin by my log Bunny :rose: :rose:

I had to quit the gym and start working the second job in August and so far I've only gained 5 lbs.

I'd rather be loosing fat but the positive thing is that I haven't exploded and gained mondo-fattage!!

So far no luck on finding a used elliptical locally.......

Hey Que, it's great to see your 'want to'! Have you considered a professional skipping rope for your cardio? Compared to anything else - cheap like borscht and benefits in an amazing anaerobic/aerobic workout, increased bone mass for women and core strengthening ALL AT ONCE! Tough to get started (you'll feel like you're going to DIE . .) but probably the best out there. (Just like squats - hard, hate 'em . . but they work :worried: )

Thanks for checkin in on me ladies! I've done well on the diet portion all week and I need to weigh myself this weekend to see if I have met my "loose 1lb per week goal" that I've set for myself. (Loosing 50lbs seems like an impossible task but loosing 1lb per week seems very doable.) :rainbow:

Water is pretty, well, squishy feeling....bet it's not 5lbs of fat either....

Do you get an employee discount at work?? Cuz you may be able to pick up some equipment on the cheap....I agree on the jump rope!! It's hard but a good CV workout!!

I get a 10% discount but it doesn't apply to anything that's a sale item or on clearance.

.......we had 2 trucks to unload last nite, 1 truck I was on the line and the 2nd truck I was in the truck moving the freight from the truck to the line.......all my chit is hurtin & it's about darn time too!

I prefer to be in the truck pitchin the freight to the belt/line (aka: pitchin the truck) because it's a fabulous workout for the entire body. No melatonin needed on those nites. ;)

Some of the people that pitch the truck are slow as cold syrup - - good grief people - BLOOD FLOW - gets some!

I did enjoy being out of the house in a non-working or non-yardwork capacity.

HAHAHA somehow I can't picture you doin that. I enjoy the holiday music, decorations and the happy shoppers............ but I cannot stand the rude people who butt in line, are rude to the store employees and are generally just a**holes for no reason.

I don't have to work at job 2 tonite so I cleaned out the gutters, ate Talapia fillets, I'm watching Eloise at Christmastime and getting ready to put the Christmas tree up. ;)

Actually I embarrase the crap out of my husband when I do that, hee hee. Yup I hate rude people that bud in front of the line. If my children are with me I usually say really really loud "yes, now see children what that person did was really rude and you should never bud in front" They usually pretend like they didn't know what they were doing and say sorry and move and the rest of the people in line laugh. hee hee

Enjoy your night off!

I been hitting the fluids like a mad woman and sticking to a mostly liquid diet these last 2 days cuz of the tooth - maybe that will help.

You should feel better in 24 hours but still not 100% but better.

The first 12 hours were miserable. I seriously thought I was dying & could NOT drink even water or suck on ice!

Thanks lovelies :rose:

My voice came back today.....finally.

I couldn't keep much down this week but I was able to keep down Skippy NPB and/or HealthyLife Flax & Omega 3 bread so this was this weeks food:

coffee
PB sammich's or just bread
6-8 oz meat, cooked, plain, little or no seasonings
water
hot tea

mother nature arrived earlier this week :finger: and WHAT A JOY it has been to share the joyous "bug" :finger: that I had as well as topping off the week by reading the scale which, once again reads 160lbs. :finger:

yet another day in paradise.

   I've had the GranPunkin :qt: since last night and I get her all day!

She's climbing on everything now.....faceplanted twice already today (I do my best not to scream) she looks up at me to see if she's supposed to cry or not.....grammy checks her for injuries......gives kisses & she's off and running again.

I've developed a hunger hump in-between my 1 & 2nd meals so today I upped my morning oatmeal from 1/2 c to 1 c (uncooked measurement) and I gotta tell ya that I barely got it all down. Too much food all at once.

I keep a 1/2 c measure in the oatmeal container so I just did 2 scoops.......... I think I'll try 3/4 c tomorrow and see if that gets me over the hunger hump w/o making me wanna hurl. :worried:

The scale this morning reads 160. *sigh*

3/4c oatmeal this morning...... I hope that works.

Unloaded the truck last nite - countless boxes of ice melter, motor oil & applesauce...... all of which require plie' squats and something resembling an upright row. For lifting I use the arms and the legs - never the back.

After about 50 or so of these - my azz hurts and my arms are still tired.

Q can you add some protein to that oatmeal? generally hunger cravings can be curbed with fat as well. Sorry if that wasn't the issues, the carbs although filling can make you more hungry, that is not uncommon.

Do people you work with have back injuries or do you see them improperly lifting?

I'll toss some protein powder in the oatmeal and see how it goes. :chomp:

Yes on both items. We have 1 guy out on medical leave because he hurt his back lifting. Some of the others are young and don't know any better, some are showing off and others just have no common sense and have to be reminded to turn their brain on before turning their muscles on. It doesn't take that much effort to practice safe lifting. You only get 1 back and it should be strong and sexy - - not crippled from stupidity.

I would be afraid to be in the free weight area of a gym with some of these people.

Ok the protein powder that I currently have tastes like **it in oatmeal. Ok it tastes like **it all the time but I choked it down anyway so I'll see if it helps.
I'll be "splurging" for some ON whey very soon.

is it a plateau? can you increase or decrease your cals, switch things up a bit. I know ever since I stopped cardio arrrr even though I lowered my cals, nothing has been happening with me either.

It's just a week...be patient, Q-Tip! Just as you don't necessarily gain when you do cheat on your diet, you're not going to lose the minute you keep within your calorie range either. The body is still trying to figure out what's going on probably. It takes consistency over time to see results!

Hang in there :rose:

Easy Q-licious! Have you checked your BF %? Do you KNOW that the weight is not muscle or bone? You've switched from a sedentary to active job - it may be putting on more than you think.

SuperCK - Some days I eat toward the high end of the calorie range and other days I'm at the lower end.

Diva-Roo I haven't flucuated very much from the weight I started at when I started journaling.

Wlmcrae - I dropped gymtime in favor of a 2nd job that is physical, however, I've been doing this since summer so I don't think it's an issue of muscle gain.

I'm in plateau hell.
I'm sure there's something I'm doing or not doing - I just have to figure out what that is. Maybe my body has gotten used to my diet or maybe the 10-12x body weight isn't right for me since my activity level has increased, maybe my caloric deficit is too high now??

I have no idea. I just know that I've very very frustrated at the moment.

:rose:  :bigkiss: Ladies, thanks for checking in on me....

It's Saturday and I slept in a bit, it felt good. I just finished my morning oatmeal I'm getting ready to go make some coffee. Today is the usual laundry, clean the house and grocery shopping before I head off to work this evening.

Since my old bones are achin a bit more these days it's probably time that I look into a 'joint health' supplement, probably pick one up today sometime.

ok so within the cal range... have your food choices changed? Been unclean, more processed? Not as often? Combinations different (eating carbs and or fats without Protein?)

I would have to say that "more processed" would be the biggest change. Pre-cooked meats & canned veggies vs. cooking my own meats and using frozen or fresh veggies. I pretty much have the same menu every day.......

1-oatmeal, coffee
2-meat & veggie
3-meat & veggie
4-meat & veggie
5-shake or protein bar or a PB sammich, sometimes w/sugar free preserves
6-PB before bed

skinless chicken or beef (mostly chicken but some fish on weekends)
green veggies,
sweet potatoes instead of white ones
brown rice occasionally
applesauce occasionally
flax & omega3 bread or I have the pre-split whole wheat pita w/flaxseed & honey
Skippy NPB
liquids are coffee in the morning, water, crystal light and every once in awhile I'll have a diet coke.

I try to buy low sodium meats because the processed meats generally taste like I'm licking a salt shaker.

You won't find eggs on the list because right now I can't stomach them....can't even bring myself to eat one.

I suck at figuring out the food part and I know it........

You dont suck at anything ... you said you were frustrated & in plateau hell.

"I'm sure there's something I'm doing or not doing - I just have to figure out what that is. Maybe my body has gotten used to my diet or maybe the 10-12x body weight isn't right for me since my activity level has increased, maybe my caloric deficit is too high now??"

I am trying to help you figure out if the stimulus change from training to the heavy lifting at the 2nd job along with the dietary changes is the reason for this.

You already know I think you need Pro in that 1st meal and not carbs alone (& youre working on that)

Working two jobs is tough, I couldnt handle it so i give you props for doing all that you do with what you have available and taking the time to make your food choices as healthy as you can. Q, looks like you DONT suck at this. Give yourself more credit girl ... I know it's hard.

Werd!! I agree Q-tip - working 2 jobs sucks ass.......I've done it - 7 days a week for 14 hours a day, so I feel ya on it......major PROPS to you for even planning meals and having a plan.....only thing I can suggest is to maybe change the cals around a bit by 100-200 cals a day & see what happens.....I'm not going to suggest adding any activity cuz I can't imagine you wanting to do anymore than you do.....

Hang in there girlie....it'll get better!

I'm tired & my arms and shoulders got a really good work out this evening as I spent 2 hours in the dairy case stocking 460+ gallons of bovine boob juice (milk)......... empty row after empty row after empty row became full

I wonder if Biggt was in the area ......... LOLOLOL

I still can't feel my thighs.......

G'nite everyone.

I've remained at a plateau for way to long, I know that something isn't right and I need some help to figure it out. I've gone over things and I'm just not seeing it so I'm posting my food and stuff.

Due to my work schedule I'm going to focus on re-tooling my diet. I feel that my diet is the key and is 90+% of the battle. I'm including the reasons 'why' something is the way it is but feel free to ask and critique.

Time is a major issue - I have none:
I get up by 6am, go to work at job 1 till 4pm, start job 2 at 5pm till 10pm, home by 10:30, clean up, change for bed, eat something, take 2 melatonin tabs, crash until the alarm goes off. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I'm trying to make sure that I get enough sleep but generally it's less than 8 hrs.
I try to have my "dinner" just before I leave job 1 on days I work both.
Cooking is done on a 'job 1 only' day or a day off of both.
I have 1 hour between job 1 and job 2 in which I go home, take the dog out, change clothes, eat something & get to work.

Exercise:
job 2 is physical labor, generally I spend at least 4 of the 5 hours of my shift in motion moving, lifting or shifting freight in some manner.

weight:
160 & I feel squishy :finger:

calorie range:
1600 - 1920 (10-12x body weight)
I tend to eat at the low end on days I don't work both jobs, on days I do work both jobs I eat mid to high end of the calorie range.

macro split:
40/30/30 (I'm hypo-glycemic. No food allergies) I'm trying to get my calories more evenly spaced throughout the day and I find myself starving after I get home from job 2 and 1 tbsp of npb isn't cutting it so I'm thinking that I should switch things around and have a protein shake before bed. Suggestions?

bf:
I don't know but I want to schedule a bmi test soon. They put electrodes on you for a minute and then the pc spits out the results. No food or drink prior to the test so I want to schedule it for 7am on a day off......I just need the day off. ;)

Liquid intake:
1 pot of coffee every morning (48 oz) splenda & ff creamer. Some mornings I remember to throw a tsp of glutamine in there, other mornings I forget. Hot tea (green tea, black tea) Crystal light, water and an occasional diet coke if I really feel like cheating at a time that isn't a scheduled cheat meal. (shhhh my brain thinks diet coke is a cheat so let's just leave it at that ok....) I try to have 1 bottle of water with each meal but sometimes I don't make it.

meats:
mostly pre-cooked, pre-packaged meat, low-sodium if I can find it. I know processed is bad but it's the lesser of two evils - it's either pre-packaged so I can throw something together quickly or I'll hit the drive-thru. I know this about myself because I've done it.

fish:
I only get to cook this on a day off and I usually have Talapia, whiting or once in a great while salmon. Canned tuna in water.

eggs:
I can't even stand to look at them right now let alone eat one.

oatmeal:
I use the quaker instant oats that come in the big tube-like container. I don't use the pre-packaged stuff but I dont have time to cook the old-fashioned kind.

cream of wheat:
occasionally I eat cream of wheat for breakfast. This is the pre-packaged plain flavor kind.

green veggies:
I love green veggies. I generally have broccoli, green beans, sugar snap peas or lettuce. The broccoli and green beans are the frozen kind but the sugar snap peas are fresh & since they are fresh I don't get them as often. Don't even suggest lima beans - - those are nasty and I'm not eatin 'em either.

potatoes:
I buy the sweet potatoes that are already individually wrapped. All I have to do is throw them in the microwave.

rice:
If I have rice it's the brown rice in the boil-in-bag.

bread:
I love bread. One of the more difficult items for me to give up. I eat the Healthy choice flax & omega3 bread, whole wheat pita pockets made with flaxseed & honey and I just bought some 'flatbreads' that are very close to the pita pockets in macros.

good fats:
Skippy Natural peanut butter, olive oil cooking spray, fish occasionally on the weekends.

Soy milk:
Silk Lite Vanilla flavored. I use it for protein shakes.

Cheat meal:
A cheat meal is a cheat meal, not a cheat day or a shovel-everything-I-can-get-my-hands-on-in-my-mouth binge. It's usually 2 pieces of pizza, breadsticks & garlic sauce with a diet coke. Yes, I said DIET coke.

Protein bars:
I don't have any right now but I like the Pure Protein Chocolate Deluxe bars.

Protein powder:
I have Vanilla body fortress. I'm not sure what 'azz' tastes like but I think it's called bf vanilla.

supps: Basically there aren't any for awhile other than the standard multi-vit, C, occasional zinc, garlic and melatonin before bed. Oh yeah - glutamine (I'm almost out)

Things I can't stand to eat right now: eggs, tuna, applesauce

Ok, these are basically the foods that I eat on a regular basis, I'm sure I've left something out. Right now I have to run off to the store but I'll post the proposed food breakdown when I get back.

with regard to my previous post how does this sound for a meal plan if I need more of "something" before I go to bed:

Days when I work both jobs:
Meal 1 - coffee, oatmeal w/protein powder
Meal 2 - meat, green veggie/rice/sweet potato with water/CL or tea
Meal 3 - meat, green veggie/rice/sweet potato with water/CL or tea
Meal 4 - meat wrapped in bread, possibly throw some lettuce in it. with water/CL or tea
Meal 5 - protein bar (this would be on my 15 min break at job 2)
Meal 6 - protein shake and/or PBJ sammich
Not to fall below or exceed my calorie range of 1600-1920

Days when I don't work both jobs:
Meal 1 - coffee, oatmeal w/protein powder
Meal 2 - meat, green veggie/rice/sweet potato with water/CL or tea
Meal 3 - meat, green veggie/rice/sweet potato with water/CL or tea
Meal 4 - meat, green veggie/rice/sweet potato with water/CL or tea
Meal 5 - fish, green veggie or rice or sweet potato, water, CL or tea
Meal 6 - protein shake and/or PBJ sammich
Not to fall below or exceed my calorie range of 1600-1920

Depending on the calorie spread I have the flax/omega 3 bread, flatbreads & Skippy NPB to work in there.

Since I've learned why the different types of proteins are used I thought I might get some casein for the "before bed" meal so that it stays with me longer.

A big ole kiss :bigkiss: to Miss24K and DaisyGirl for the info. :rose:

In keeping with the two previous posts........

I have a question on measuring - - when I'm measuring frozen green beans
I put the plate on the scale,
zero the scale,
put the frozen green beans in until it says 8 oz.

Here's the dumb question:
Is 8 oz of frozen green beans the same as 1 cup of green beans?

I'm looking at everything I'm doing - right down to "Am I measuring or logging my food wrong."

Has anyone tried the "Pro Complex PM" protein powder by ON?

or

"Muscle Milk Light" by Cytosport? (44% fewer calories)

No to ^^ this post.

That seems like a lot of complex carbs, not that there is anything wrong with carbs but this is what i see

Both jobs (how many days a week is this btw)
oatmeal
rice/sweet potato
rice/sweet potato
bread
protein bar (carb content???)
sammich (= bread I assume??)

Not Both
oatmeal
rice/sweet potato
rice/sweet potato
rice/sweet potato
rice or sweet potato
sammich

How are you measuring this rice & sweet potatoes as those carbs & cals add up.

IMO you are lacking alot of fat and all those carbs are making you more hungry. What are the macros??

Green bean measurement, if it calls for frozen measurement then yes that is correct. I wouldnt worry too much about the cals consumed from broc, green beans or spinach etc .. those IMO arent causing the issue unless you have some allergy to green veggies

Both jobs:
I work 6 days per week at one or both jobs. Job 1 is M-F, Job 2 is 4 nites per week. I generally wind up with 1 day off from both jobs each week.

I never have rice & sweet potato's in the same meal. (I should have used the word "or" in each line.) So it's generally:
meat & sweet potato OR
meat & veggie OR
meat & rice

Oatmeal is measured dry before cooking.

Rice is measured after it's cooked.

Sweet potato's are literally measured with a ruler for length and width prior to cooking.

Bread is flax & Omega3. 1 serving is 2 slices and breaksdown to Cals:80, Fat: 1g, Carb:17g, Protein:5g

The majority of my fat comes from Skippy NPB.

The protein bar breaksdown to Cals: 170, Fat:5g, Carb:2g, Protein:20g

I know you're busy with lots of things so thanks for taking the time to look at this. :rose: x million

I have the muscle milk light (strawberry banana) and I really don't like the taste. I would try the vanilla one but by the time I order it and get it I won't have time to use it. I know the regular vanilla kicks ass so I imagine that the light is just as good.

And yes, I am uber excited that I am almost outta here!!!! :dance2:

Here's today's planned menu:
I'm working both jobs today.
Scale shows 160.5 :finger:

Meal 1 - 8 am'ish
48 oz Coffee w/splenda
.5 c 2% milk (used as creamer because I'm out of my normal stuff and this was leftover from Da Punkin  )
.5 c oatmeal w/splenda & apple pie spice
.5 scoop of BF Vanilla protein powder mixed in the oatmeal

Meal 2 - 11 am'ish
6 oz southwestern chicken strips
8 oz green beans (from frozen w/Mrs. Dash as flavoring if needed)

Meal 3 - 2 pm'ish
1/2 pita pocket, whole wheat w/flax & honey stuffed with tuna salad
--Tuna salad is 7.05 water-packed tuna, drained with 3 tbsp FF Miracle whip & Dill relish and is split between 2 meals.

Meal 4 - 4:30 pm - eatin while on the way to job 2
1/2 pita pocket, whole wheat w/flax & honey stuffed with tuna salad

Meal 5 - 7:45pm'ish (1-15 min break)
1 protein bar Pure Protein brand, chocolate deluxe flavor

Meal - 6 10:30pm (as soon as I get home from j#2)
1 tbsp Skippy NPB
2 c Silk Lite Vanilla
2 scoops BF Vanilla (nasty chit)
2 melatonin

The macro's breakdown to:
Total: 1653 (cal range in 1600-1920)
Fat: 21%
Carbs:25%
Fiber: 0%
Protein: 54%

This is one of the lower fat/carb days but I'm trying to put tuna back into the diet. (A task that I'm finding very difficult atm.)

Of course the liquids are coffee in the morning, 1 bottle of crystal lite and the rest water until I get home and have meal 6.

On a lighter note:
I ordered the ON Pro Complex PM Milk Chocolate 2lb tub - I'll report on the flavor, mixability etc. when it comes in.
I also ordered a t-shirt that says: "Don't talk to me I'm dieting." ;)

The alarm always rings for at least 30 minutes before I even realize that it's ringing - sooooooooooo I reset it for 30 later than usual and I'll see if that makes a difference in the amount of deep sleep that I'm getting.

I refuse to be beaten by fat.

Diet for the day looks good, Que! I bet if you keep it this tight consistently, you WILL see results. Also, just make sure that those wraps that you are using are 100% whole wheat. I've been fooled before by misleading labels

Thanks DivaRoo :rose: :bigkiss:

I'll make a point to re-read the entire label and if it proves to be untrue - the birds will have some free food!

I ate at 11:00 am

it's 12:30pm so why am I hungry again?

At 11am I had 6 oz chicken & 7.5 oz of green beans
(along with 1- 4" celery stalk & 1 cherry tomato that I pirated from the holiday pitch-in....they said I had to eat something so I chose wisely ;) )

to help combat the cravings I'm drinking some hot tea (green tea w/red antioxidants)

*sigh*

No fats and almost zero carbs. Try adding a few almonds or some flax oil to control hunger.

Maybe it isn't hunger pangs, maybe it's extra stomach acid.
Anyone have this issue recently?

Oh yeah, question on cheat meals (calorie range is currently 1600-1920):

How far above your normal calorie range max should a cheat meal put you?

Have you thought about tapering off your cheat meals for a while, especially if you haven't seen results lately. Instead you can try a clean refeed so your system won't plateau. I'd suggest to eat an extra 500+ cals or so of clean food like a few more tbsps of peanut butter, some steak etc. Just a thought....I know for me the weekly cheat meals were what were bringing me down for the longest time and I didn't realize it.

^^ I do agree ...

just dont think the 1 tbsp Skippy NPB is sufficient for you, may need to space out fat through out the entire day to help.

I agree without roony on limiting the unhealthy cheats. Not what you wanna hear Im sure.

Actually it's more of a relief. (Never thought I'd say that)
There's a lot less guilt involved when I don't have a cheat meal. I know that my body needs a cheat meal but I always wonder if it throws me two steps backwards.

I'll work on getting some goot fats worked into my daily meals and switch my cheat meals to something like a nice juicy slow-cooked fork-tender T-bone :p Oh darn....how hard will it be to eat one of those
