Myostatin and Cortisol

I'm 49 and am finding it harder to lose and keep weight off. I don't eat sugar at all and limit my carbs to 100g/day as directed by my doctor. Still, I gain weight. I know my cortisol is high. I've seen some supplements starting they can lower cortisol. Do they and if so how good are they at doing so? If there is a good product out there, what is it?
Similarly, I also have high myostatin. I've never been very big (muscle-wise), no matter how much I work out. I do get stronger, but not a lot. Is there a product that inhibits myostatin?
I'm hoping a good combination will help me put on a few pounds of fat-burning muscle and get my BMI down 10%.

If you want to burn fat, my friend, then I recommend Retatrutide and Fasted Cardio every single day. You will burn fat.

Bros, you should start up a log. Let's learn more about you. What's your body fat? How much do you weigh?

Well, you can inhibit myostatin with yk11. But it doesn't really work as good as people are led to believe.

The whole inhibiting myostatin thing is just a bunch of BS. If it was possible, then everybody would be walking around at 500 pounds of muscle.

You don't want to become too obsessed with these different hormones. At the end of the day using anabolic steroids will help blunt cortisol

While you may well be limiting carbs what's the actual diet/

Forget the myostatin thing. Nothing really works yet

Sure. I'm 6' tall and currently weigh 165 lbs., and climbing. I have over 20% body fat. For reference, when I was in my 20's, I was 150 lbs. with 10% body fat. I've lost muscle since then and at one point I was 195 lbs. My doctor put me on this diet and I got down to 160 lbs., but now I'm gaining weight again.

Breakfast: Kind Protein Max (6 net carbs, 20g protein, 13g fat, 240 calories).
Lunch: Sandwich made with Sola bread and a cheese stick (3 net carbs, 28g protein, 29g fat, 402 calories).
Dinner: Varries, but follows a similar line of low carbs with more protein. I estimate my calorie intake varies between 800 to 1000 calories at dinner.
I'm usually well below my 100g limit of carbs and significantly less than 2000 calories a day.

Thanks, I'll look into retatrutide.
I do fast 24 hours around once a month and a 4-day fast a couple times a year (I have to quit early if my blood pressure drops too low). I ride a stationary at 20 mph for an hour every other day and try for one day for 2 hours. I can't do every day like I used to as my legs are just too tired the second day. I used to be able to do multiple 2-hour days in a row, I'm just getting weaker.

The anti-anxiety medication. I certainly felt less stressed... until it stopped working. I wasn't going to keep upping the dose so I was weened off it.
It sucks, because I didn't used to have anxiety. I rocked climbed back then, but now I can't even watch a movie (where I know it's fake) if heights are involved.

If you combine fasting and fasted cardio with Retatrutide, you will burn fat like you won't believe. It's a great option.

Bros, hard to really peg what your physique looks like because you don't weigh much for your height but you say you're 20%. You need pictures.

There's something else going on nutritionally here that is being over looked bro.

If you really want lasting results, we need to make sure we get your nutrition and output right. Without it, there is no compound/ peptide/ supplement that will help you on your journey.

Share your plan/ diet here and I'd be stoked to have a look for you 😊 once we've got it dialed in, then we can pull the lever on fat-loss aids to really get things moving.

My breakfast is low calorie, low net carb. I usually have a kind breakfast bar with a good amount of fiber and protein. Lunch is a cheese stick with a a sandwich made with kale and keto bread. Dinner is often venison, chicken or salmon with a vegetable. If I snack, it will either be mixed nuts or carrots with hummus. No caffeine or sugar.

Do you generally track/ measure exact amounts of these foods bro?

No right or wrong answers here! Just trying to get a clear picture of what you're currently doing so I know how to guide you 👌

There's something else going on here bro that you haven't accounted for. Do you make sure that everything you put in your mouth goes into a tracking app of some description? Every day? No weekend blowouts/ snacks/ untracked meals/ deserts, sauces?

Any alcohol?

I want this to work for you, so we need to get to the bottom of what's actually going on.
