Good luck!! {Tho I'm ROYALLY peeved you need to do this! :redhot:}
The pay isnt that bad and at least it isn't working in a fast food place. As far as having to do it.....can't cry over spilled soy milk - just have to suck it up and go on.

You must get an employee discount now though at Walmart....if it's a Super Walmart, that should come in handy right with grocery shopping & misc. stuff. So it's not all bad, lady. Hang in there! :rose:

I used to stock shelves I personally liked it... Especially at night... You can blare the music.. or just go off into your own little world without having to really talk to anyone. ANDDDD You'll be up and down so you'll be getting paid for extra exercise!!!!

Exactly my thoughts. I get a discount at the store I spend the most money at anyway AND they pay me to exercise AND I don't have to run a cash register. ;)

Thursday's food: same as every other day

Friday's food: same as every other day 'cept I had spinach for lunch instead of the other green stuff I usually eat.

*sigh*

Wassup Q?? Why the sigh?? :rose:

Que, if you're bored with your diet, you need to change it up daily! You need to make the effort to keep your daily menu interesting so you don't burn out & go nuts.

When you go grocery shopping next, instead of just tuna, look into salmon, albacore filets and even chicken chunks like Tre suggested. They all come in cans, pouches and cups now, so you can even change those up to create variety. You don't have to be the best :Chef: to make clean meals.

:wavey: Hi Q!! Just checking in on you.....

Thought this was cute....

Thanks Ladies, you're all wonderful :bigkiss:

I'm out of oatmeal so I've only had coffee & a spoonful of pnut butter for breakfast this weekend. I had forgotten that I have some cream of wheat. That's for breakfast until it runs out or until grocery-shopping day.

I've spent the weekend cleaning the house & finishing the lime green polka-dotted poodle skirt for my daughter while shamelessy flirting with *M* via phone and/or internet. ;) and I even managed to get a bit of Punkin lovin yesterday.

I wish I had a digital camera cuz the skirt actually looks cute. I appliqued a dark green bowling ball & a white bowling pin on it and I used white buttons for the finger holes on the ball.

I get really focused when I sew or when I spring-clean a room or rooms so I only managed to eat twice yesterday and only once so far today. :sulk:

Yesterday I did manage to squeeze in a bike ride of 5.20 miles in less than 30 min. on non-flat but not super hilly ground. My thighs were screamin but it felt really good.

The next couple of weeks are going to be ubber-crazy........oy :worried:

A digital cam is on the wish list but it won't happen anytime soon. I've been getting up early and staying up late just to keep up with everything that's going on. :worried:

Hi Q!
Miss 007! I have been out of town and I was trying to catch up on your log...It seems to me you are bored stiff out of your skull, and kind of in a rut with food. I relate to where you say "food same as everyother day"...I can be so methodical and then more....
I do love egg whites as a tortilla one flip only...You can add spinach (popeye bag is good...clean) and add 1 or 2 oz. fresh mozzarella....it's easy to make and only one pan is used....( I separate the whites and keep them in a tupperware, so i won't have to do it evey time) and for lunch I ask walmart butcher to make breast fillet's of 6 oz. and put two per tray....freeze them and take whatever we'll be eating...I grill them and just add veggie (frozen zucchini brocoli carrot pea mix in a pan with PAM) and maybe add some paprika to taste...lemon pepper is good! one or two slices of avocado....
I eat egg whites like they are going out of style...just don't scramle tne...they will be rubbery....
I hope you're doing better and family matters are good.
I have been trying to eat chicken broth (made by me only veggies were zucchini white cabbage and carrots...oh man is it good! With a little lime juice...you can make the broth and freeze it, kep veggies in another container and chicken breast in another...so you are ready when hunger strikes....
I hope you are aware you are loved!

I'm a little late but Good Morning Sunshine!! :rose:  :bigkiss:

Here's a funny story I received in my email today:

A stupid question deserves an appropriate answer....I was in Wal-Mart
buying a large bag of Purina for my Labrador Retriever and was in line
to check out.

A woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Purina Diet again,
although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last
time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive
care
ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that
it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply
eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is
nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.

I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now
enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy behind her.

Horrified, she asked if I'd been poisoned and was that why I was in the
hospital.

I said no.....I'd been sitting in the street licking my balls and a car
hit me.

I thought the tall guy was going to have to be carried out the door.

Work has been crazy, I'm workin over an hour or more every nite, no gym membership :finger: f*ckers. I can't keep up with everthing that needs done at the house and I just can't find energy or motivation for diet & exercise. I have a hard time mustering up enough energy when I get home to ride my bike or even mow the yard. I just want to come home, eat & go to bed.

Even with *M* coming in 10 days I can't seem to find my mojo and that just SUCKS!!!!

:wavey: Hiya Ninjaman! Glad to hear you and IP are doing ok & getting settled in.

I know what caused my funk but it's not something that has an easy fix. So, I'm trying to work thru the emotional aspects and I'm finding it very very difficult. Not being able to go to the gym has had more of an impact than I thought it would.

After I woke up from my nap I did:
3x10x30# Chest press
3x10x30# Incline chest press
10x30# Barbell curls
10 step-ups each leg (basement stairs)
10 old-fashioned sit-ups
10 Oblique crunches each side
50 scissor kicks w/hands under my butt to keep my lower back from arching.

Here's the current food dilema (feel free to laugh):

I purchased Pepsi, Cheddar Goldfish crackers & LD Oatmeal creme pies for *M* :qt:  (btw...7 days today :jump: )

Even though those are my favorite snacks (after pretzels), I've actually had no problem resisting any of them. Go me!

I AM having a problem resisting the urge to use the gift card to McDonalds that's good for 1 large sammich. I've been craving pizza all day too.

It was a super busy day at work and I only got to eat breakfast and lunch so right now I'm starving! I'm drinking a crap load of water to ward off the cravings until I can get to some decent non-artery-clogging food.

Lady at work told me today that I have "willpower of steel" because I've resisted the free ice cream everyday this week and I've stuck to my diet for so long w/very few cheats by her standards. It was nice to hear that.

Before you go for the food write down "Willpower of steel" and think about it. You can do it! and just the word "artery-clogging food" should resist your temptation, when you pick it up think that, or label them that! :)

Hey Q-tip -- git yerself a Camelbak.....it's about $40 (some are less), the SnoAngel is the Women's version - it's a very small backpack with a tube & there's a neoprene bladder inside for the water.....I use it skiing - pretty awesome!!

You can do a Google search to buy them online as if there's no ski shops in your area.....

Fabulous idea, I'll have to do a little research on those. Thanks Jens! :rose:

Thanks Scoob - I love that bike! It feels like my "get out of jail free card." ;)

4 days till Cardio-fest! Hehehe:jump: :jump: ;)

The caml paks SUCK to run in though... Also make sure you run water through it and dump it out quite a few times because the plastic tastes horrible. Nothing worse then filling it up and going to get a drink when you are dying a thirst and it tasting like plastic.. Bleh !!
Have a good one ;)

Oh hell yes - I wouldn't run with one.......

And regardless of how tempting it is - DON'T fill it up with anything OTHER than water!!

Food the last 2 days has been dorked up because of "impromptu" meetings, people on vacation, my vacation prep and the general tunnelvision I suffer from at work. :freak:

I've packed my normal food for both days just didn't get to eat a few of the meals here and there. I even packed food for my orientation. ;) I get to start work the week after my vacation. :spin:

Both days combined:
M1 - oatmeal
M2 - 2 egg whites & applesauce
M3 - 6-8 oz chicken & a dk green veggie or a sweetpotato
M4 - 2 egg whites & applesauce
M5 - 6-8 oz chicken, tortilla, veggie or salad
M6 - Skippy NPB
Liquids - coffee, water, Crystal Light(1), mini-can diet coke(1 each day)

Well I must get back various domestic duties in preparation for *M*'s visit on Friday. :p   :verygood: :busy:

3 Days!!!

*****20 minute walk - fastest pace I could maintain.*****

No bike ride due to rain, however, I can walk in the rain as long as there isn't lightning. (Didn't take the dog & he's mad at me now.)

So far.....I keep thinkin that he's gonna need them to refuel.

2 Days !!!!!

Wednesday
M1 - oatmeal
M2 - 2 egg whites & applesauce
M3 - 7 oz tuna, 6 oz lettuce, ff dressing
M4 - 2 egg whites & applesauce
M5 - 1 pc sausage pizza, 2 breadsticks, cheese sauce, diet pepsi **
M6 - 1 tbsp Skippy NPB (haven't had this yet)
Liquids - coffee, water, diet pepsi

Activities:
basement stairs 10+ times,
cleaning the garage - lifting boxes, sorting stuff, carrying stuff to the trash.
Mall walking for 60+ minutes.

**My oldest daughter stopped by and helped me clean some stuff out of the garage (lots of squats to pick up stuff) and then we were working in the basement sorting and rearranging things. After the 10th trip up the stairs I stopped counting. My azz hurts. After the cleaning spree she took me to dinner and shopping at the mall. We walked around that mall for over an hour and the pizza place is the only food shop there so the choice was pizza or pasta.

2 Days!!!

I'm definately feeling bloaty with all the salt from yesterday's pizza slice & cheese sauce. Oy, I feel like you could roll me out the door.

water water water - I need to drink lots and lots of water today!

2 people on vacation today and tomorrow so work is going to be crazy. At least I'll be busy and the time should pass much more quickly.

Then, before I know it *M* will be here. :qt:

Hey Q-Tip! I gather it was a good one! So good to see you happy :)

So, shall normal logging resume?

:velvett:
 Hiya beautiful!
*M*'s leaving on Friday or Saturday to return home :bawling:

I start my 2nd job on the 21st so logging will resume sometime next week. With the new work schedule I'm not sure if it will be "normal" logging since I'll be working from 7am-10pm 4 days a week. Just have to wait and see.

I'm sure the first week will be hectic until I can get the new routine worked out. Getting enough food packed, getting clothes packed so I can change after job 1 and be ready for job 2. etc etc etc

for now I'll just have to get in as much cardio as I can between now and the time he leaves  ;) :p
