Anyone does reverse pyramid sets ?
I mean starting with the heaviest and decreasing after that.

Do you do one warm up set before going at it?

I do those with almost everything, I figure that I want to handle the heaviest weight when I am freshest. I do about 4 warm up sets usually and then hit up the heaviest weights of my workout.

4 warm up sets???

After the warm up sets , how many sets you do starting with the heaviest?

Do you increase reps as you decrease weight?

For those who do reverse pyramid sets :

Do you do them for every exercise? If you do 4 different exercise for one muscle group, would you perform this type of routine for each exercise?
Could anyone care to post a routine?

Yah, I sometimes do reverse pyramid sets, depending on the body part I am working and the specific exercise. Reverse pyramids are a good way to get the most from your set when the muscle is already warmed up. Once a body part is warmed up, it's good to hit it hard with your heaviest weight first, instead of wasting your effort on previous sets with lighter weight, which are not stimulating the deep fibers within the muscle needed for added growth. Once your muscle group is warmed up, hit it hard with the heaviest weights first, don't waste energy and time with more lighter (warm-ups) sets.

Try doing that and using a weight which has you reaching muscle failure at 6-8 reps using perfect form!

I hope this helps you out! For more fitness tips, advice and information, feel free to visit my personal training website @ http://members.shaw.ca/muscleman/
