Protein powder vs food while on cycle

Hey I would put this in the supplement forum, but I need people whose are like minded to myself, and also understand what running gear is, and can accomplish. I don't need some turd who has an entire shelf full of 50 different supplements giving me advice, because we are not on the same page.

That being said, I am (as of this morning) 5' 11", 245 lbs, and at a guesstimate 10-12% body fat.

I have never taken protein powder as a supplement. I take bcaa's and eat shit loads of food. But I started thinking about it and I did the math it's wayyy cheaper (and a hell of a lot more convenient) in the long run to take the protein powder, so is it better for me to keep it up with real food or start supplementing with whey/ casein protein?

I feel you. I'm diabetic. I have to watch what I eat and take when "on". It's very tricky. I myself eat pretty clean, mostly protein and good fats for calories. I eat carbs in my post workout meal and only use protein shakes right after a workout. Egg protein powder in water. I take insulin as prescribed. Not like some do that don't need insulin. I unfortunately need it so I try to minimize the intake. On tren, sust, eq, proviron, adex. I get almost all my protein from food. That's just me. I'm 6'3" 243lbs and about 10 percent bf. Hard to do as a diabetic on insulin. Trust me. Bulking is hard, lots of clean food. Slow and steady. Food is where it's at for the most part.

I hear you on that, but I'm tired of eating cold chicken breast out of a zip loc 4 times a day haha hot sauce only gets you so far and all the cook time, prep time, and cost. I'm not saying remove food I'm just saying maybe just start pulling maybe 100g of protein from shakes a day

I use whey to supplement my protein intake. I usually try and take advantage of the increase in protein synthesis from AAS and get around 300g of protein. That's a lot of chicken and eggs lol supplementing makes it easier to hit that goal.

I like getting my nutrition primarily through whole foods but do use SynthePURE whey isolate to help me get in all my protein needs.

Yeah I'm thinking about buying a cheap, big ass dog food bag of protein and adding it in, I spend 2-300 a week on food right now it's killing me lol I could be a chef at this point. My restaurant would specialize in bland, relatively flavorless high protein foods. I'd make a killing. I could name it "Something like cardboard"

I have no problem using protein powder for convenience & cost savings to help hit my protein intake. I keep my primary source whole foods and use shakes to supplement. 1-2 shakes/day is fine IMO.

So to update, I introduced a cheap stop and shop brand whey protein into my diet at 80 grams a day, (body fortress), I've gained 5 lbs. It's pretty amazing I have to say, I was never on the protein supp bandwagon, but the results are undeniable. 5 lbs gained while off cycle (cruising on my hrt) is not too shabby.

You won't maintain your size on protein shakes... You don't get natural vitamins and minerals real organic quality food has.... Protein shakes are for people on feeding tubes or last resort meals if u are busy at work and don't have time to eat....

Take a guy who eats 6 meals a day then take the same guy that eats 3 of the same meals n supplements 3 meals with protein n karbolyn, and I guarantee the guy eating whole food will be better in every aspect, especially if during a contest prep...

No replacement for whole food...

I agree. 99% of guys who use protein shakes use it cause its cheaper, tastes like ice cream, and more convenient than real food, not because it is better
