Protein cycling

I'm just eating more proteins on lifting days .....

I would advise STRONGLY against eating any protein while cycling.......might choke.

I did that once, fell right off the bike. luckily when i hit the ground the impact popped that chunk of protein right out of my windpipe. so I guess it worked out in the end.

Well, I guess this thread was just asking for it! Anyway, why would you want to cycle your protein? I may go out of my way to ingest a little more on training days, but I wouldn't consider that cycling. What u mean, brutha?

If it was that stupid, do you think George Spellwin would advertise such a diet. The program is called optimum anabolics.

Well, you shouldn't have been so judgemental. I did the protein cycling diet for 6 weeks (3 weeks at 40g/day followed by 3 weeks at 200g/day) and the result was spectacular. I started at 178, 12% bf. After 3 weeks, I was 180,14%. I lost a little lean mass but my muscles looked pumped because of the glycogen and water stored I guess. After the 3 weeks at 200g, my body weight went up considerably. People at the gym though I had started a cycle! I'm now at 191, 11 % bf. I'll soon do another protein cycle and hope to reach 200/205 pounds.
Protein cycling is truly amazing.

"3 weeks at 40g/day"
I don't see any benefit from taking so little protein

You don't see any benefit? What about my weight gain!?
By depriving your body from protein that way, some over-compensation mechanism start to kick in. It takes around 10 days. When you reintroduce proteins after 3 weeks, the body starts to store proteins in the muscles thinking it will need them for the next starvation.
I gain as much muscle as if I was on AAS and you don't see any benefit? Are you an expert on human physiology and nutrition to declare there's no benefit?
