protein absorbption

Hi i am currently cutting after doin a bulk diet,my weight is 170-175 and i am consuming 160-180 protein a day.....and half of the protein source comes from WHEY PROTEIN POWDER... now my question is for example 40gram protein mixed with water ,how much is really being absorbed into muscle/bloodsteam or does half of it get used and half get pissed out sinced its mixed with water, i ask this because i am worried about muscle catabolism because for some reason i feel that the whey protein gets pissed away when i mix it with water and drink lots of water after consuming the whey,plz help
 
Dear MindGame,

Water that you mix in will not effect absorption.
Whey protein is absorbed at a very fast rate, some people say 1hour, but studies have shown that whey can be absorbed in as little as 45min(I do not agree , but I'm not the guy who made the study).

If you are worried about muscle catabolism then simply don't use whey alone. Mix in, egg, milk, csn, soy proteins into the shake. In equal ratios and you will ensure awesome absorption with anti-catabolism.
