I was wondering if one of you guys good point out a site that I could follow to ensure i am benching properly. I have done a a search and comeback with nothing useful, i tired.
thanks guys

also I bench with my feet on the bench obviously this isnt proper form but eliminates my back arch, is there any real problems with this?

Well, there's no real point to benching with your feet on the bench. I doubt your arch is excessive, so you are just limiting your poundages. I'll see if I can find some threads about proper form.

When you bench, make sure you tuck your shoulder blades down under you. This will create a solid "base" for your body to rest on. This will make you more stable and certainly aide in your form as well as the weight you can move. Also, i would put your feet on the groud, and out somewhat wide - this will increase your stability and let you concentrate on form without having to balance your whole body. Also, don't move your feet around during the rep. I see wome guys who start to stress and start bouncing their feet around like they are having damn epileptic shock or some such nonsense. Keep your butt on the bench! Come down all the way with the weight, but dont use your chest as a damn trampeline. That will get you no where, except maybe impress some of the bimbos at the gym who don't know proper technique from a hole in the wall.

Good luck,

so my grip should be a little wider then shoulder width, how bout lowering the bar, bring it down to mid chest or nipples?

Where you bring it down, i feel is less important that where your elbows are. Your elbows should always be directly under the bar. Bring the bar down to whereever it would naturally go and still keep the elbow under the bar /wrist.
