As for the glutamine, some studies suggest that a large amount of oral L-glutamine is used by the gut, being either oxidized or converted to glucose, never leading to significant increases in plasma glutamine concentration. Even when increases in plasma levels are seen, it is debatable whether that directly leads to increased protein synthesis and. All that being said, it doesn't hurt to take it if you have it (and it might help - some people seem to think it does), but I would say up it to 10g.
If you have glutamine peptides, that's a somewhat different story. They're most expensive and supposedly don't have the same problems as L-glutamine, so I'd say stick with 5g of that.
