right now im just taking in protein shake + a bit of gatorade powder in the mix with a bowl of oatmeal

drop the gatorade...

why would u want the insulin spike after cardio?

if ur doing fat burning cardio you shouldnt be breaking down any muscle

electrolytes help level me back out...its not for the insulin spike - its a minimal dose at best btw. i dont see it doing any harm

thanks for the reply - K to you!

I usually have 40g of Whey iso, followed by eggs and oatmeal with raspberries. I wish I could hit the fasted cardio every morning. Until I buy a treadmill I am limited to doing it on the weekends only.

okay good just making sure i wasnt missing out on something that could benefit me. K to you!

You can buy electrolight packs instead of gatorade.

I think protein shake + oats is a decent way to go personally, both for recovery and avoiding an excessive insulin spike (I personally would be less insulinphobic post any form of exercise)
