Hopefully some of you guys can help me out with this career question I have. I work for a major Wall Street brokerage firm selling stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. Most of my job consist of cold calling
and networking. Let me just tell you "I absolutely hate it." I feel like I am begging people for there money and getting no response, possibly because my experience in the industry hasn't been too long.
Well here is the thing. I love the industry that I am in, just don't enjoy the sales aspect of it. I have been doing research on different positions within the industry, and have found interest in a portfolio analyst position. My question is, what would you guys say is the best way to get my feet in the door of porfolio management? I have 1 year of experience as a stock broker and a ba degree. I plan on working on my MBA part time. Where should I start looking? Thanks
