Poll: Why do people view but not reply to posts???

JUst wondering why there is always such a huge difference between the number of people that have viewed a post and the number of replies?!?!?!

There seem to be plenty of posts that say "Help!" or "Newbie Needs Advice" and then when I read it , the poster wants to know how many grams of fat in a hard-boiled egg. It's not that I don't like to be helpful, but jeez!

Or sometimes the thread takes a turn that's not apparent from the headline or even the original question.

Or others have answered so well, why reply just to bump the thread?

I agree with Keiko. I read most of the posts to learn. If I have something to say, I'll post, but a lot of times someone has already replied with what I would've said, so I see no reason to duplicate it unless the person wanted to know about personal experiences.

No need to respond when its been answered to death or someone else has said what you were planning on saying.
On the other hand,on some threads, sometimes I'm just not in the mood to add to the insanity.

Also, there are guests that come onto these boards to read up on some info. But you hafta be a registered user to post...so guests cannot give feedback. Alotta ppl are here just to learn. Maybe they feel they don't have any useful advice or suggestions to offer. And, repeating something above...sometimes thread subjects can mislead a viewer.
