I am not taking advice from a chick when it comes to electronics, cars, or sports stuff.

Now if you want to suggest a laundry detergent or broom style, then I'm all ears.

 You'll be surprised! I brought my own Audi TT.. I put all my gym equipment together.. I know my stuff darlin! Never had any problems with the car.. So fast too! My dad did suggest what tv to go for and I did the rest.. Yes it does eat up alot of electricity.. But trust me.. I know my stuff! I actually wouldn't know the answer to the detergent...

I agree...the real debate seems to be between LCD and DLP now.

Both require lamp replacements. From what I have researched DLP is the better choice. LCD is indeed "thin" if that is a requirement for you. However, LCD is difficult to view from angles and you can also never get a true black to show....it's more of a dark brown.

I may have to get me a DLP. I may wait until Christmas shopping time though to get a better deal.

Yup, LCDs are better for computer screens. They don't make them as big as DLPs. Plus if you want something lighter and less bulky just get a DLP front projector instead of the regular tv rear projector.

EDTV is NOT HD. Do not get an EDTV if you want to use it for something like an XBox360 as it will not support your games at 720P. Its max resolution will be 480P.
