Pic of my 600lb dead

Y_Lifter, you and me both.

Needsize, AWESOME lift, especially considering your bodyweight (you're only in the low 200's right?). Inspiring stuff.

keep putting up those numbers and you will be the canadian franco. ;)

Nope, too tall.

Good job needsize--you are one of the reasons I deadlift now. Thinking of going for 405 one of these days-not bad for a 160# natty bber right? All those plates just look cool!

holy shit, i want to be able to bend the bar like that one day too! hope 5x5 does that for me too

Thanks again guys

Haz, I was 215lbs when I hit that lift.

joncrane, that's a great lift for your bodyweight, it really is all proportional and that's almost 3x your bodyweight

no straps is a given in my book but belt is very impressive. So many people dependent on thos things, nice lift and nice gain needsize. World record in the 220s is 859 by the legendary Coan, hard to imagine that, eh?

I don't like depending on anything but myself, and my gains have been much better ever since I swore off everything but chalk. 859 eh, christ, if I ever do manage to pull that sort of weight safe bet I'll weight a boat load more than 220. But what the hell, I like to set my sights high....

Great lift! Do my eyes deceive me or are those hexagonal (or some other -agonal) plates? Wouldn't those suck for deadlifting for reps?

Right on both counts, they have a tendancy to roll to the flat spot when you set the bar down, doing 500+lbs for reps with the bar doing that is an adventure I don't really enjoy. That's what happens when your club caters to yuppies
