I'm probably the only one on the other side----i for one don't think suicide should EVER be assisted by anyone...Most of these ill people had a chance to off themselves well before they become bed strickend but chose not to---Why? My guess is because they did have the balls to do it----now that they can't do it for themselves---someone else should take that responsibility? No fucking way-----We are born with all sorts of senses---pain is just one of them....We are compassionate people and it hurts us to see anyone in pain. But if we are so compassionate, why don't we load up all the people dying of AIDS in africa and drop a nuke on them---End their misery---Pain is part of this life we are all taking part of------and for all the religilous people out their pain is a tool --- we are being shown it for a reason ---

we as civilized humans never accepted death as part of our living experience....Their are totally healthy people walking the earth that have more pain inside them, then any cancer strickend patient sitting in a bed...We don't just go and off these people....

I'm sure one of you will tell me that you have had a grandfather or father or mother etc. that had cancer or something else and will tell me that the pain that they went through was awful-blah-blah-blah------I would never doubt that----but pain is just part of this life-----and who the hell is anyone to end that(except the person themselves)---is it compassion? or borderline shelfish on your part-----Most of the people that are ill want to off themselves not because of the pain inside of them but because of the pain they see on the loved ones faces everytime they come to visit.. Let people be born and let them die...peace

euthanasia is legal already (under a shitload of paperwork and checks and second opinions and signed agreeings of family that is)

now theres a law probably going to get passed for the Pill of Drion, which would be a suicide pill you can get from a pharmacy.
it is made in such a way that it is impossible for you to swallow it without throwing it right up so you have to take anti vomit medication for at least 2 days prior so you have a fixed time of thinking about it

regardless of how much pain someone is in, when their brain is functioning, then most likely they have the ability to dream. and if one can dream, they have everything. Most healthy people walk the earth in a dream state. Taking their minds to diff-places---someone in a lot of pain can do the same--how could anyone think that they have the right to take away dreams---

Go look up some stats on how many in the prison system are illegal immigrants. You will be shocked. Yesterday, the premeir human rights court in Europe upheld a British ruling that a man in question could not assist his wife's suicide and be immune to legal ramifications. I guess it ain't just us crazy yanks after all.
