physical therapist assistant certs or associate?

To become a physical therapist assistant do I need an associate or can I just get certified and start working? I want to get the associate but will get it later. I've wasted too much time with my life going to school and I'm sick and tired of it, I want to start working and start my life.

I looked into this as a career field awhile back, gonna need that associates man.
