Pain when I curl

It's possible you have some kind of inflammation or minor injury in that area that is aggravated by that exercise. My recommendation would be to avoid that movement for a while to let it heal up, then start at a lower weight when you do it again and adjust from there. If the pain returns, stop again. No reason to make things worse

I always strain my tendon a little when I go super heavy on deadlifts (over/under grip) and my left arm gets the same pain when I reverse curl.

that type of thinking is how guys end up with chronic injuries.

its a huge mistake. the reason it stops hurting is because your adrenaline gets going so you don't feel the pain anymore.

I used to train with a former Ironman and Vietnam sniper years ago.. we would do sprint work, hill work, pullups, pushups, etc. the dude even agt 62 could do 45 pullups and he looked like he was in his 30's.. anyway he would always tell me if it hurts then you need to stop and not pound away anymore. I would blow off his advice because that is what young guys do when an older guy gives them advice, typical stubborn behavior. well i ended up running into injuries and those injuries ended up being chronic. so i ended up learning my lesson the hard way

gotta learn to listen to your body unless you want to end up crippled at 40
