So I was stuck at my parents place the other day... I had no car and the nearest gym was like 5 miles away. I was craving an upper body workout. So I look around the house to see what can be done... I find my dad's treadmill and a pull-up bar mounted in a doorway. I thought what the hell... getting in a mild, "jerry-rigged" workout was better than no workout at all. This is what I did:

1) Speed walk on the treadmill at full incline for 1 minute
2) 20 pushups
3) Treadmill for another minute
4) 5 chin-ups
REPEAT

After about 10 minutes I started sweating profusely and looking pumped in the mirror. I continued for 40 total minutes, gradually increasing my reps to failure (which wasn't too different from the above #s toward the end). I stopped my workout, and admired my sweaty and pumped upper body in the mirror ;).

Well, that was yesterday. Today, I AM SORE AS SHIT. I don't remember the last time my pecs and lats especially were this sore. Talk about badass workout!

Now obviously I'm not gonna replace my normal routines with this one, but I definitely think I'll throw it in from time to time for some very effective variety. I'd recommend you all to try this too.

Anybody else have any ideas for these types of atypical yet highly effective workouts? I'd appreciate some new routines... thanks!
