Oklahoma State Meet

Got a call from the promotor...said the state meet will be March 1st, 2003. From what I hear it's a very nice venue; a hotel but I don't know which. I know this meet is the weekend RIGHT AFTER the St. Louis meet (Feb 22), but I'd like to try to hit it.

Some of the Okies may have more info...

Shit!!!

I was afraid that was going to be the same week as Mardi Gras!

There is also a WABDL meet at Dallas(or Arlington) the same weekend as the StLouis meet(22nd). I think its a qualifier for the nationals later in the year.

This will be a APF-AAPF, USPF, AAU meet. Rickey Crain will be running the USPF-AAU side w/ Jim Gorrel and Hugh Dunagan will run the APF side. They will have 2 platforms since USPF-AAU can't use the monolift. It will be at the Adam's Mark in downtown Tulsa. I'll post more when I find out. Hope you guys can make it.

I will talk to Jim Gorrell, and find out if they are using an adjustable bench for sure at the Oklahoma State meet. If they are, then I may lift at that one, and just go to St. Louis to help.

If they don't have a different bench, then there is no reason for me to even compete in Oklahoma. If they will have an adjustable bench, then I will compete here and help with suits and wraps in St. Louis. I am sure we are going to need all the help we can possibly get in St. Louis as there will be a bunch of us lifting there. As many of you know, it is almost impossible to be putting on suits, shirts, and wraps and lift in that same meet. Just wears you out.

The Adam's Mark hotel in downtown Tulsa is a very nice hotel, and should be a great place for a meet. Train hard everybody, and I will post again after I have talked to Jim Gorrell, and give more information.

I also need to find out exactly when the Canada meet is, as I may be doing that one instead, depending upon if my work schedule will permit.
