Okay Should I Buy A 2001 Mustang?

You can get a pretty sweet Dodge Durango or just about any comprable 2000 SUV for about 18K.

Don't get the Durango. A buddy of mine has one and it has been a piece of shit for him. I do like the design, but the interior is lacking IMO. I'd rather get a big F-150 or Silverado than the typical SUV.

If you get the GT you'll be paying on the insurance side. If you want power and a smooth ride I'd look at the Lincoln. However, if you really want a badass car get the 2002 T-Bird. Yeah baby! I love that car.

I have a 95 vette with a full flowmaster exhaust and K&N filters. Personally I wouldn't touch this mustang with the V6, it wont have much resale value and isn't that great of a muscle car. Now the V8 version looks pretty good but I don't know too much about the fords (I'm a GM fan). I would advise a new camero. Next year is the final year of its production, it has the same lt1 350 engine as my vette and its about the same price as the mustang.:)

the camero just dont have the aftermarket products that the stang has. thats why the stang outsells the camero 3 to 1, at least in my state. ford created the V6 knowing that people(especially females) would buy the hell out of it to imitate the V8. what products they do have are more expensive. i paid 20K for my V8 stang, i could easily invest 10K in HP and handling mods and leave a 50K 350HP vette in my trail dust. no offense though, cause my stang is going to be sold in preparation for a vette.
in conclusion the V6 sux, dont buy a stang unless its a V8, and i would even say dont buy a V8 unless you plan on racing, they are uncomfortable as hell for daily driving.

Well i only paid $18,500 for my 99 camaro.
The mod si have are
Headers and true dual exhaust all the way back (just cats no muffler) $450
Stage 2 port on the heads $400
whisper lid and computer program module $300
NOS $450
12 bolt rear end $1000
Subframe connects $200

I run 11.6 @118 m.p.h. in the 1/4 mile
The tires i run are Nitto's 315 on the back and Yokohama's on the front.

Next month i will be adding a Vortec supercharger with intercooler.

But as my car is right now i dog out Mustangs all day long,i raced a Mustang last Fri who was running a supercharger with 8 psi, and he could only hang with me through 2nd gear.

The reason there are more mods out there for Mustangs is because they need them to keep up with the CHevy.
Sorry but its the truth.
