Ive been doing my own version of a carb cycling diet for the last 2 years!

three 3 hr refeeds post workout per week, the rest of the time it was lean proteins and vegetables.

I lost damn near all my bodyfat, and actually gained a little lean I think thanks to what we know now about meal timing.

So Im used to this diet and like it, but it seems antisocial so I want to stop.

my plan? maybe add about 200g carb every day post workout?? thats all I got haha just a chicken rice bowl and a couple METRx big 100's in the micro for thirty seconds (mmmso good) each night after I lift and the rest of the time chicken/steak and broccoli and protein shakes.

any help is appreciated!

why limit your carb intake to junk e.g. protein bars? Just find your maintenance cals, and stay wit it, if you want to just be boring and maintain. Me, I never saw the point unless you are away from the gym for work/personal reasons or injured. You can never be satisfied bro.....never, cause there is always a guy who is bigger and more cut than you are......post a pic and I'll tell you if you should maintain.

Also, FYI - carbs ARE NOT THE DEVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F- YOU DR.ATKINS, for imbedding the minds of many that it's all about carbs.........it's calories.

I think you can add more carbs than that and be fine. I'd stick to things like mixed veggies, brown rice, whole wheat toast, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal.

wow thats a great way to see it :) I like that

thanks for the replies guys, its hard going back on a moderate diet...despite the goals I guess. I look forward to the challenge

Funny cause I'm struggling with a similar issue. I need to maintain at about 205 - 215 for my sport but I am caught in this wicked downward spiral of weight loss. I have started to play with my carbs a bit, cycling and such, but I hate the way it makes me feel mentaly and I start to lose some of the vascularity.

I'm trying to find the maintenance grove but this sucks ass. Every time I take in anything with carbs I get this driving urge to do sick cardio as a fix... or maybe punishment. The longer I keep the diet strickt and hard the easier it gets but the more mental I become.
