Screwball made a very good point. Some people are always going to gain on certain lifts faster than others. I was a hammer thrower, and like most people with a good build to throw, my pulls are great and my pressing exercises are terrible. I have been training for 30 years and still have never benched bodyweight. By the end of the year, my son may out bench me (I may kill him to avoid the agony).
If I were to compare my bench progress to the progress of, say, someone like Halbert or Patterson, on a daily basis, it would be very discouraging. Just keep working, and stick to the plan. It is fine to re-evaluate yourself and your progress, but do so in a way that allows you to both feel good about the progress you are making as well as motivate you to further progress.
