I'm currently 6ft 175, I'm really just trying to maintain weight right now maybe up it to a solid 180-185. but i have some body fat i want to lose. And the reason being it being a big breakfast is because i struggle throughout the day to get more calories because of my schedule and such. I'm taking in about 2200-2300 a day right now. What do ya'll suggest?
^^cobracock is right...you need to look at your goals...is 1/2 cup oatmeal too much? probably not when I bulk i eat 1 cup per meal like 5 times a day...you have to look at all the other stuff in there, almonds are fat and im assuming your eating whole eggs which contains fat and protein...why throw in turkey too?
Ok I really am learning about my diet and it is so much better than it has ever been.
But one thing I just don't understand:
Why would eating 1 cup of oatmeal 5 times a day help you bulk?
Its all fiber how does that bulk you up?
Thanks for the help...
Oatmeal is loaded with good carbs and protein. My first meal consist of 1 cup oatmeal and a protein shake, this totals 540 calories and 28 grams of protein. Think thats pretty good for such a small amount of food. BTW, the fiber is just a plus.

oatmeal is an incomplete protein, dont count it towards your protein consumption.
But fitday.com counted it! SOB! Back to the drawing board......![]()
