Novice test question

Hi all,
I'm new to this site so please go easy. I've spent a lot of time reading up on all this stuff and 'think' i may have a handle on it. I do have one question though: It appears that the suggested test cycle is for 250 -500 /week. My question is, what happens if you do less, say 50 for example? Would the results just be less obvious, or is there a kind of threshold 'all or nothing' level which one must be above to see results?

When you introduce an external source of Test into your system, you shut down your own production. If this external source is a low dosage you may end up shutting down your natural production, but end up with a lower Test level than you had naturally. I'm not sure of the number you need to boost yourself over the natural level, but I usually see 400mg recommended for a first cycle.
 
I see, I suppose that makes sense, but then why doesn't that happen to people that receive test injections when they have low test (I mean from a proper DR)? I think they only get 50-200 every 2 weeks...according to the prescription info i could find...

Because in that case test isn't cycled, it's a never ending thing...

Sorry EZ, I still don't get it. Surely continual injections would be as suppressive as just doing it for 12 weeks? Obviously the dose is higher for a cycle...i understand that; however, doesn't really answer my original question.

Because it doesn't matter to the person receiving the test from a doc because they will continue to receive it for good. Not just a 8-16 week cycle. Yes it will suppress their already low test production but they will not stop receiving injections. To them the "replacement " test is just as good as there own.

You on the other hand, I am assuming want to cycle it like most. For your purposes it will suppress even at low doses and when you come off it will continue for a while.

example using completely fake numbers just to make it simple.

lets say your body currently produces 100 and you shoot 50. Even though it is a small amount your body will most likely stop producing it because it is getting it from somewhere else. So now you are actually getting less by injection than you were producing on your own. It's not necessarily the amount that you use it's just the fact that your body see's that it no longer needs to continue to make it.

I guess where i'm going with this is towards the idea that I don't want to take a high dose of test because I don't want to make huge gains. I just want to put on 5-10 ibs that im struggling with and lose a few % BF. My stats: 34 yo, 6'0, 185, 12% BF. I was thinking 250 of test for 8 weeks.

Long esters need to be ran about 12 weeks to get the full affects. And so you know 250 mg is the lowest you'd ever want to bother cycling. 50 mg is less then your body makes on average a week. So you'd be shutting yourself down for nothing in return. And gaining10 lbs, and keeping it on 250 mg week is a great cycle. I'm not sure what your expecting from test alone, but your not gonna turn into mr Olympia from it. And no offense, but from your stats your genetics suck anyway, so the likelihood of you gaining a substantial amount of mass on any compound or dose is slim to none.

your body recognizes hormones in the body so does not feel it necessary to produce its own.

when you come off it takes time for the body to wake back up and start producing test again, some guys end up on HRT because their bodies fail to start producing test again.. it happens when guys abuse AAS.
 
Try 250 Mgs for 12 weeks
You can always go higher if you aren't satisfied but my first test run was 300 Mgs a week for 10 weeks and I really enjoyed it, gained good size and strength
 
storm go for 500mg wkl, if you wanna see some results less than that you are wasting your time also consider combining it with deca or dbol or both. you will get good results.
 
What is going to make a diff in ur cycle is diet. If ur looking to make gains but loose fat (essentially recomp) then go with 500mg/wk and keep calories around 20-30% above maintenance with low fat, moderate carbs and high protein. Roll in some cardio and u'll lean out with 5 to 10 lbs solid muscle gains over a 12 weeks. PCT is pretty standard for a test cycle. Search it on here.
 
Genetics sucks? How do you figure that? I should correct, my BF is 8%. I'm not sure I know many other 34 y/o in the shape i'm in.

Like I said bro I'm not trying to offend you but even at 8% bf your only carrying 170lbs of muscle on a 6 foot frame. At 6 foot the minimum I'd shoot for is around 250lbs. If you had good genetics you could easily reach 220 lbs without juice. That's why I said you don't have good genetics for putting muscle on. You have a huge advantage when it comes to staying lean, but your at a disadvantage for putting on mass. If your goal is to just have the lean beach body look then your good. But if you want to look massive with your shirt on or off, your gonna need to put on some weight. This is just my opinion and everyone has their own. So do what's best for you and your goals.
 
It sounds like you have come a long way naturally. And 8%bf is a very impressive number. If you want to do the research in the forums here you should have no problem developing a first cycle that you can run and realize full recovery with a good PCT. Once you have chosen the right one for you, you can post it for feedback. You can then run the cycle, see your results, and decide if your interested in more cycles or if you are happy to stop there.

I'm not looking to be huge, i'm looking for i suppose 'the beach body' so another 5-10 of muscle would be perfect.

Ok well your in luck as test will greatly improve your appetite and make putting on that 10lbs relatively easy. As far as pct goes almost all of it can be easily obtained online. The hardest thing for most to obtain is hcg as most sources don't carry it, but some do and I suggest you plan ahead and have it on hand before you start. For the clomid and arimadex you can go to ag guys and get that easily. I've used them in the past and quality was always spot on. For the natty test boosters I suggest you go to Ntbm and pick these up. My code joeblow10 will save you 10%. Here is how I'd run the cycle.

1-12 test e 400 mg week
1-4 test prop 50 mg eod(optional)
1-12 adex 0.5 mg eod or e3d( adjust as needed)
6-10 hcgenerate
10-14 hcg 1000 ius week

Pct 14-18
Clomid 25 mg day
Post cycle/ unleashed
Dspark and daa combo
Adex if necessary

18-22 bridge and dspark(optional)

You should always have letro on hand incase you ever need it. But honestly if you prevent it from happening by using an ai to control estrogen you will never need it. I've never even opened my letro. It's still in the original packaging.
 
My opinion would be about 100-125 every week for a slightly above normal level. At least that's what I've seen with enanthate.

A 100 mg week dose would put most around the 600 test range. That's lower then some produce on their own. Someone with low t would respond well to that, but a normal person would need at least 250 mg week to even make it worth it.
 
Just to clear something up. The Letro is for emergencies (if I feel a lump or something) and the arimidex is if i feel sore nipples or something and is primarily used to prevent estrogen which causes gynco.....which would be cured by letro?

some guys get gyno from even slight estrogen increase.. some guys don't get gyno no matter what. some guys get gyno from even looking at a bottle of gear lol (being facetious but you get my point)

its all about being prepared for anything.

there is also prolactin gyno that you can get from running tren. this can be taken care of by running caber/dostinex.

i feel sorry for those who are extremely gyno prone, they will sometimes end up having to do surgery to get the gland removed.. while other dudes run all the gear they want with no AI and never have anything happen to them.
 
stevesmi, any comments on what i wrote about letro and arimidex?

use the adex on a regular basis to combat symptoms, itchy or sore nips, bloat, drop in libido. Back off the dose when you notice gains are slowing, libido drops( this works both ways high or low, so find a medium where your screwing like a porn star), or your joints start hurting is a sign you need to back off the adex. Like I said the letro should be put away for emergency use if you have a lump develop. Since your lean this will be very easy to notice. But it's a good idea to do regular titty exams on yourself to check for any growths or puffiness. Like I said the symptoms will show before the lump does so pay attention closely.
 
Great, makes sense. I think I'm getting a better idea of what this 'black art' is all about. Still have a lot more reading to do and preparation before I start juicing thou (if I ever do)
