I would go and buy bill phillips book, "body for life" it has changed my life ever since and Im now more attractive to woman and feel more confident...cough*bs* well the attrative part is right though :D
Ckd is the way to go to loose fat, but I dont know how it will affect u since u say ur diabetic :confused: .

Im 44lb down in 10months, done tests and have approximately dropped 10% bf. Well the weightloss is actually more but I dont count waterloss from exercise during the depletion of glycogen stores. Always use weight after carbupday. Only used EC as "fatloss"-enhancing supplement.

first off drop the rice from your diet
if you must, eat brown rice or wild rice (wild better)
replace this with leafy greens or green veggies
add alittle fruit.....apples, plums, peaches, kiwis or berries
but not alot
replace the nitro bars with nuts
eat more veg!
i am borderline diabetic and been on atkins ( a high protien low carb diet) for 2 months
i lost 30 pounds and two inches
now i am on ckd
but i will go back on atkins in another month to lose hopefully another 30 pounds
it works since i do not spike my insulin levels
an excess of refined carbs will do this
cut out diet foods
so call lo cal foods
esp diet sodas
drink water or unsweetened ice tea
green tea is good too
limit your diary
glass of milk is 12 g of carb
atkins has a two week induction phase where you can only have 20 g carbs a day
it is hard but it worked for me
hey for brekkie today i had 2 eggs, 6 pcs of bacon and a cup of spinach as an omellete
sure that would fill you up
lunch was 1 cup of coleslaw no dressing but with lemon and 1 can of tuna mixed in and 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1 package of sweet&low and 1/2 raspberries
snacks were 1/4 hazelnuts, 2 pieces of string cheese
dinner has yet to be decided but i am thinking a nice steak
with lots of mushrooms and a caeser salad
more than enough to fill a person with a hearty appetite like i have (had)

p.s. i can not usually finish my meals these days
supp your self with omega369, carnitine and b's

I am not sure about type 1 , but I have a friend that is type two and he has to follow a low carb diet to keep it in check. You may have to try a couple of different diets to find what works best for you. CKD works real well for me but others cannot stand it.
