Night Of Champions Womans 1st place

that's the main turn off in "judged" competitions as far as I'm concerned...there is so much political shit going on and inconsistencies! Not to mention this must be really frustrating to the competitors, who have to guess what the judges are looking for!

IMO, the only reason to compete is to give yourself a reason to push yourself further than you ever have before, and to put into practice goal setting. Let's face it, when you know you're getting on stage in front of a lot of people in a bikini, you're much less likely to cheat on that diet or skip that workout. :-) Plus, you have to plan out a diet/training schedule that will allow you to peak for competition, which means setting firm short-term goals. And once you get hooked, you realize there's always something you can improve, so you end up setting long term goals as well.

But I have to admit, I won't compete with NPC because of the way they're judging Figure. Luckily, there are other federations like NABBA who've had figure divisions long enough they've actually established somewhat predictable judging criteria. Of course, even then, you're dealing with subjectivity and the quality of the other physiques you're being compared to...as I found out at my last comp. Too lean and muscular, my a$$!

I think the thing with this competition is the number of competitors. Each girl prepares for months on end, spends big bucks on a suit, hair, nails and what not. Then for Night of Champions they had a supposed two minutes for intros, 10 minutes for two piece and 15 minutes for 1 piece. So that's like 4 seconds a girl... There were I think 35 figure competitors, plus fitness & bodybuilding and MEN.

The Cal States (NPC) here a few weeks ago was at least two nights....
