i have been back lifting for about a year and have made some good gain but have injuried both elbows some how i thought it was just like tennis elbow or something like that but it has been bothering me since july one doctor said bone spurs were the cause and told me to lay off then that didnt help so now ihave gone to a ortho doctor and i do have spurs but he is not sure why they only hurt when i do any kind of tricep exercises any of you had a problem like this and he said if it wasent beter by the next time i go back that he may have to go in and see what is causing it have any of you had surgery like this and how long were you out

I remember going to a doc once about my elbow problems. Ya know what he told me? "Clint, you know what I am going to suggest for you to do but I know that you are not going to do it...right?" He gave me a corticosteroid pack to take and it helped a lot.

Get some neoprene sleeves. www.jackalsgym.com sells the best. Put icy hot on your elbows EVERYTIME you train!!! Warm up your triceps and elbows EVERYTIME you train!!! Ice, ibuprofen, rest...

yup
Everytime I do something where my tris take a load, my elbows burn pretty bad, and it was starting to get in the way of my lifts. For a few weeks now I cover the fuckers in IcyHot and I haven't really had problems since.

What really helped out my elbows was to strech them after all tricep and push work. Take a towel, belt, rope etc. Hold on the towel with one hand put it over your shoulder like you are doing a one-armed tricep extention, then with the other arm go under your back and pull down. This will strech the tendons in your elbow. Do each are twice for 20 seconds. You should feel better in a week or two. I hope my description made sense.

Outside the gym ad 1500mg of Glucosamine and Chondoitin, and a few table spoons of flaxseed oil. My elbows are starting to cooperate:D .

I've had similiar issues especially when I would do various tricep extensions... What worked for me was to rum some FlexAll on my lower tris and elbows and wrap in an ace bandage to add some compression and keep the area warm... The warmer I could keep them the less they would hurt.. I also started doing a couple sets of high rep low weight pushdowns before any chest or tri workout to further loosen and warm the area... Now day I have no problems fortunatly... Just took some time to get past.....
