Just wanted to formally introduce myself....
I have thrown a couple posts in here and there, but since I figure this is where I will spend most of my time (along with the powerlifting board) I thought it would only be proper...
I've been around reading posts and such for a while, as for my background, I was a collegiate athlete (football, throwing events), and have been lifting/training for about 13-14 or so years (now in my late 20's)
Stats: (as this seems to be the most often asked question to qualify someones posts)
6'1 245-255 maybe 10-15 or 18% bodyfat
Best lifts: Bench Squat Deadlift Clean
Current: 430 510 425 320
All-time: 465 710 ~600 350
(all are completely raw)
I have been out of serious training for about 3-4 years (I had been kind of jacking around and trying to keep my strength up but I've been very inconsistent-obviously the bench was easiest to maintain, also, now that I think about it, my clean technique was way jacked-up back then and I did not even realize it). Right now my current goal is to get my squat up to at least 600 ASAP. After that, maybe try to reclaim 700 and then get myself back into throwing discus and maybe shot again, they have a lot of track clubs out here and that would be fun (and the fact my wife already forbid me from playing on one of the local semi-pro football teams)
Anyway, thanks to all the people on the board who have inspired me to stop jacking around and get serious again within the last few months of visiting the board.... You know who you are...
