"new" routine help

i think i have been on the 5x5 for too long now. the gains are getting minimal and, quite frankly, i'm getting bored with it. i was interested in DC but the way my life is arranged right now, i cannot follow the diet to the letter. i was thinking of going back to my 'standard'(if you will) routine, a simple 3 exercises for each bodypart, 3 sets of around 8 reps per exercise scheme.
would you guys (and gals) say this is a good idea? some input would be great.

actually, that sounds very good to me. i've been playing with the thought for a while now...problem is, i have NO idea how to start, how to train, how to eat...like a powerlifter!

There's a lot of info out there. Reading the stickies on the power lifting board wouldn't be a bad start.

i tried to read the stickies but i'm sick and have a pounding headache. anyways i read the stickies but basically they explain the basics and mechanics behind the bench, squat and snatch. i'm looking for a general 'game plan' (for a lack of a better word) for powerlifting. i will read more on the powerlifting board later, for now...i'm sick as shit.

hmmm i wouldn't know exactly....but for at least 6 months....yeah i guess that sounds about right.
