New best military

Good job bro! I stay away from smith machine shoulder stuff usually.. I feel like it is more likely to cause injury because it is in a straight up/down motion but when you do free weight OHP its not straight up/down motion.. But damn bro that's solid.. I'm slowly getting my military up as well! I cant stand seated military tho i don't know why, only standing OHP for me

Maybe I'm overly picky, but I hate it when people talk about their big weights when they are cheating.
But don't take offense. I'm not putting you in that category because you posted the youtube of your lift, so you weren't trying to mislead anyone.

People say they squat 500 but they only half squat. A guy who half squats 500 might not even squat 200.

So in my book, if a guy talks about his max weights, he should be talking about legal lifts.

I don't think I can do the military that you did right now, so props to you. But when I talk about my squat, I'm talking parallel, and when I'm talking about my bench, I'm talking about free weight pause at the bottom etc.

If I use wraps or a shirt, etc I mention that, because that's part of the picture.

I competed a little bit in the past, so maybe that's why I nit pick stuff like that.

But anyway, you don't have to care about any of that. Like I said before you are strong.

I have always agreed that it wasn't a legal lift. To me in my little world though past parralel in the arms is as low as I need to go, which is bar below my chin. And I did compete in HS so I agree with you on your points.
I actually wasn't going to post this video and was going to redo it with the bar going lower. I really should chill out but I love this site and spend so much time on here trying to help peps out I just thought I would be cut a little slack. Maybe I will just delete this thread until I get a chance to go lower.
BTW what do you squat?
I used to be great at squat till I blew up my knee and its never been the same. I am up to 315 for 5 and thats parallel but again in the rack after:
135 x 20 then 2 min rest
185 x 20 then 2 min rest
225 x 20 then 3 min rest
275 x 15 then 3 min rest
 

I'm with Zed, machine or not that's a heavy lift. Personally I find the smith machine harder because the movement can't be altered at all. I can't do anywhere near the same on a smith machine as I can with free weights.
