need some oblique workouts. i dont know y but one side of my mid section is stronger then the other! when i do lower back exercises my right side always compensates for my leftl.
any help!
ps also i need some wokrouts for def but i dont want big obliques

Side Bends

I recommend doing Dumbbell Side Bends. That way each side gets worked good.

Back Extensions 3 x 15-20
Hanging Leg Raises 3 x 15-25
Side Bends 3 x 15-20 per side
Weighted Crunches 3 x 15-25

That's my lower back/ab routine. Works well for me. I do it twice a week.

I suggest standing pull down abs for strength...

It does sound like you have another weakness though...which exercises do you feel that your obliques are your limiting muscle to the lift?

well its mostly my lower back muscle(cant remember what they are called) when i do back extensions my right side always compensates for the left no matter how much i concentrate.
and i just asume my left oblique isnt as strong as my right cuz my right one is more cut and i always find myself leaning to the right when i sit down? its wack.

Contstantly think about your posture. Look at how you do squats, deadlifts, etc...

Add in some rev hypers and try strengthening your hams and hips...and stretch. Without seeing you and your problem...I can't properly say what is wrong.

Also talk to Hannibal and Spatterson...they can probably help you.

For about 2 years, I have followed the ab training advice of Pavel Tastouline, the 'crazy Russian' from DragonDoor. I've always had very strong abs, but, as a judo/self-defense instructor, I'm always looking for more.

Check out this page at DragonDoor, where there is a graphic of a FANTASTIC ab exercise, especially for fighters and/or grapplers: http://www.dragondoor.com/b11.html It's a damn no-brainer that I'm suprised I didn't think of earlier, but it's very, very effective.

A word of warning: do NOT go too heavy. I almost torn a trapezius from going waaaaaay too heavy, too early.
