Need help with getting rid of love handles...

Hi
I re-started training like 3 1/2 months ago,so far its going pretty well i lost a lot of body fat and gain some muscle.But the only place i find that the fat is still more noticeable is on my sides ( love handles ).I lost some but not as much as i wished.I just wanted to know to really get rid of that fat is it just something with the diet or is there any exercise i can do to melt those love handles off? thanks

I am 6'2 220lbs i eat pretty clean during the week i cheat on weekends.I try to keep my protein intake at around 230-240g,carbs at about 350g and fat 110-120g.I eat alot of tuna,lean steak,chicken and i like lentils a lot.I tried to cut down a bit on bread but i still eat whole grain bread and tortillas.Take protein shake once sometimes twice a day.
 
What i did recently is cut down my carbs to around 200-250 and eat complex carbs @ breakfast , preworkout, postworkout.... also on days off i would drop carbs to 150 eat them during they day nothing complex before bed

salt intake from preservitaves in food, maybe toppings like ketchup or something, etc? sodium adds up amazingly fast
 
Realistically you need to completely cut out "cheat weekend" <--- this is your downfall

You know what you should be doing...the question is: can you do what is necessary?

Try eating right 7 days a week for 4 weeks and your fat will be fading...after the 4th week add in ONE CHEAT MEAL on Saturdays ONLY (not Sunday too)

So, can you do it?? It's only up to you bro'.
 
thats why i asked what bf% was.

when you have a high bf% say over 15% it is hard to burn muscle. under 10% it is much easier to burn muscle. i know guys at like 8% that have love handles... they hate their life lol

that is one time i really think long slow moderate cardio can work wonders.
 
oblique fat is usually last to go on the waste :P Be more active and don't skew from your diet too much..you'll get there if you have the disiplince
 
Having stubborn love handles is a leading indicator you have high estrogen levels opposed to mid section fat, which means your cortisol levels are high. The boys already gave you good advice about diet and cardio. I don't know if you are on the sauce or not, but some kind of anti-e would help. If I'm not mistaken Needto has some kind of natural anti-e..

Don't eat out. Shop smart at the grocery store and make all your own meals. That was huge for me. I bring my lunch to work everyday and if I do go out for a meal it's only Subway.
 
Is there like a diet and cardio plan on this forum for just losing weight. If not how many meals should you eat per day and when in the day is cardio the most effective, in the morning? How long should I wait to run after a meal?. Three hours? What are good type of meals to have. I dont want to eat to much, cuz i dont wanna gain weight but most sites say to eat alot of small meals to boost metabolism.

Now Here's the honest truth about getting rid of your love handles. You'll need to go on a fat loss plan where you lose weight all over your body. Love handles are a hard body fat to lose, but with these total body strength. If you need to rest, do so briefly before jumping right back into the motion.
