Need help with a basic diet

Ok, so I did a search, but the results are pretty vague. I'm basically looking for ideas on a day to day diet until I get back in the swing of things.

Quick background: Use to work out a descent amount (3-4 x week for a couple years) I've been out of it for almost 3 years now. I'm not looking for a cutting or a bulking diet just a good all around diet. I develop a pretty fast metabolisim when I start to work out and eat regularly. I just have been out of it for so long I need a little kick in the ass as far as a steady diet goes. Working out I have a good handle on.

any and all help is appreciated. I don't need a break down, just maybe a list of foods and what compliments eachother digestively.

Thanks again

I'm probably 185 ~20bf and relatively strong still

Chicken, rice, oats, eggs, skim milk, some red meat, some veggies, and water. :D
^^^ :)

LEAN red meat.

eggs (for example meal 1: 2 whole eggs and 6 egg whites along with .5 cup oats or something like that)

Brown Rice, not white rice.

Skim milk ... eh, depends on the person... personally i'd Nix it and supplement because the sugars in it wouldn't help me, but that's just how MY body works.

Water... water... keeps ya full, drink lots :)

Sample Diets:

Mostly tailored for a smaller woman (not at your weight) so the quantities should be increased... but you should get the idea I hope:

Compliments of Velvett :)

Thanks a lot fellas. I don't eat red meat so I'll probably substitute for turkey. Goal is to get back up to about 200lbs. and shed some of the b.f
