Got a question for some of you long time lifters.

I've been working out for about a year now, and the other day I was super pumped and had an awesome bicep workout.
Well its been four days and I went back into the gym for Bi's again tonight.I did my first set of concentration curls, light, and no pain. However when I sat the weight down,my forearms ached like some one hit them with a lead pipe.right in the middle of the forearm close to the bone.It felt like the same kinda pain as a shin splint, thats what I've heard them called anyway. When the inside of your shin aches from running too much...well anyway.
I need to know if this is normal. Is it a muscle, tendon, bone, any ideas would help.
I may be making a big deal out of nothing. But I'm 2 weeks into a cycle and dont wont to waste due to an injury.
I hope I gave a good enough description, thanks for your time.

O yea FYI..it still aches like a mother @#%!@ if I make a muscle or flex tightly.

PEACE

hate to be the one to tell ya this, but it don't sound good... maybe some tendon damage or something? (not sure, but often early in a cycle your muscles become too strong too quickly and your tendons haven't caught up, you go too hard and you're screwed)

i hope i'm wrong, but i'd give it a few days of rest, ice etc....

good luck!

Tendonitis dude!! Your tendons are probably inflammed. Stay away from any bi excercise that total isolates by means of locking the elbow such as preacher curls or concentration curls. This will make things worse. I know of people (myself included) that have gotten this from going to heavy on preacher curls. A supplement that could help you is Evening Primrose oil. It comes in caplets much like cod liver oil. It is very good for this as it lubricates the joints and helps to decrease tendon inflammation. Peace.

i know what U mean i had exactly this problem about a year ago and its not fun every time i sat the weight down it hurt a lot in and it got so bad that i would do my bicep exercise and then my bro would put down the weight cause i couldn't, i continued to train and the pain slowly went away, not saying that you should do that but it worked for me, i think you should see a doc. but i think if you rest for about 2 weeks then U should be fine, btw my brother also had this problem just last month and he is better now he did the same thing as me continued training but not as heavy as before, how ever you chose to go GOOD LUCK.

;) ;)

Thanks guys.

I really appreciate the info.

Can't stop now, will change up exercises and try to muscle through the pain.

Maxellyz........you hit it on the head, can't hardly sit the weight back down by myself without it killing me..

PEACE
