okay guys I play Offensive Guard on my Varsity Football team...the only problem is im not that big...im 6'0 180 pounds...the reason im there and im starting is because im fairly strong but im really explosive fast (short bursts)...so i do good blocking right there on the line...but when i have to pull i get that running start but i dont really hit the guys that hard when i get to them...how can i increase my pulling blocking power??....

Squats, deadlifts, power cleans...etc...

Read www.elitefitnesssystems.com everything on there...ten times.

Get yourself a large tire...600lb or so and practice flipping it. Serious man...for a lineman or anyone playing football...you NEED to be doing serious tire flipping.

i went to advanced training school.... and we flipped plenty of tires... monster truck tires.. .probably 600 pounds or so. and we pushed cars.. nice workouts there

Explosive lifting --plyos--work with a medicine ball
push cars

good stuff

Depending on how in shape you are...a 600lb tire may not be heavy enough. I am going to try to flip my 1000 lb tire again today and take some tutorial pics that I will try to post this evening. We are focusing on form at the moment...but it all starts from the same 3 point stance.

In addition to the tyre flipping I would recommend buying the biggest crosstye that you can find at lumber yard/saw mill and get a heavy rope and pull it out of your stance in ten-twenty yard sprints.

We did this in high school and it helped tremendously.

I am 26 and getting back into it--playing ball this year for the first time in seven years and will also be doing alot of pulling!!!

You should get your coach to switch you to defensive back. You've got the size to play that position in college or event the pros.

If you are having trouble generating power while pulling try doing squats and sprints. You need to be faster out of the shoot so to speak, so squats help get the initial movement and sprinting will help your acceleration. A tire sounds good but if you can't find one practice with the track sprinters, it helped me to get a 4.4 fourty and hit hard plus it will tech you to keep low so when you hit you will be driving up and through your opponent...
