Myoplex carb sense bars

real food is better...Whats the macro breakdown? Any ingredients that stand out (i.e. hydrogenated xxx, oil, etc)?

On the run, they're okay as the net carbs are prob around 2g, 22g protein and 8g fat. Are those numbers right? I'm guessing

Hahha..yeah.....2g net carbs.....6.5 fat...4.5 sat.....30g of protien...thinking more of a late night snack or maybe a pre-workout snack, whatcha think?

only reason I ask is that GNC (I KNOW, I KNOW) has them and they are going to expire so they are like 75% off........

Yeah or Neh?

Neh...if hidden carbs are a problem. You don't want the oversaturation of the chemicals and all the hidden carbs in your diet I'm assuming.

Hidden carbs? They have no EFFECT on insulin levels and therefore wont put on added fat, correct? Got to be as good as a meal repacement........

Oh and X - why are you no fan of milk? even skim? Just don't like dairy, eh boss?

NOT correct...for, glycerol (as glucose) is stored in the liver and later released into the bloodstream spiking insulin levels, thus it does effect you

Oh and X - why are you no fan of milk? even skim? Just don't like dairy, eh boss? bloating, even if you don't see the bloating it is still happening internally; indigestion

Whats wrong with oats? Probably one of the best complex carbs you can eat. I'm not a fan of bars to much either, but I will eat them since its so easy to grab one and go. I think they are better for a mid day snack while you are still active other than something to eat before bed.

KEYWORD = "QUICK" oats...........100% processed

They still contain the needed fiber content and slow digestion times....

Mr.X

Mr x - I'm shocked...slow digestion times? Maybe compared to extremely high GI foods, but they are processed, hence "quick".....comparable to white bread....

Regular "quick" oats can have about 4g fiber per serving, GL about 15 GI about 60-65.

True on the fiber, but I believe the GI is much higher........HOWEVER, w/ a G Load of 15, I guess they are somewhat ok, just not nearly as solid as Steel cut or even Regular Oats.....that's why they only take 1-2 minutes to cook when steel cut take about 8-10.......

Yup, they are not as good at regular oats of course :)
