I'm going to be completely honest chic. I really don't think now is the time mainly because to get 100% out of whatever you take you need to be 100% fit , so I know this really sucks but slowly and surely you will get back fighting fit. And then if your still thinking of sups I can give you my personal experiences and with that and lots of research you could decide whats best!,

He's a lab fox terrier mix. We ran 1/2 a mile then went and played in the water at the beach. 13 weeks. He's my lil buddy. If only I could get my bf to run with me! ;)

Hey Jen...I'd check out the npc website and just search up contests for your area. Depending on if you're natty or not, you could check out some of the other national organization websites (for the natties) and see what shows they have for the area you live in too. There are a few different orgs out there and I can give you the names if you need them. :)
 
I agree with cali. Check out which ones you want to do on the npc site first. Get you a goal date and go for it. Jen what class are you thinking about competing in? Bikini?

I'm not super sure. I think I may be naturally too big for bikini and too small for figure. I'm 5'7" and 145 right now. With too high of bf. About 19-20 I think. I looked up the npc site and there's 2 contests here 3/31(which I think is way too soon especially with my knee not 100%) and one in June. Im scared to run into my ex who is a trainer and his ex wife that competes in fitness. :/ idk that shouldn't be a factor and maybe it won't by then.
 
I was wrong about the dates for the ones where I live but I think for my own sanity I should just do one in may in another city that I know they won't be at.

If you want to be comp ready by may I would be getting my diet in ck immediately. Also a training routine that you can do intensely without making your knee injury worse. Losing the bf could definitely happen by then. Bikini you don't have to have the mass like you do in figure and don't have to be as shredded either. It is all up to you but if you decide figure we have to get some mass on you and quick. Which will be difficult to do while you are cutting at the same time. Once you decide how you want to go let us know and we will help all we can.

The one Im thinking of is May 5th. I think I should probably do bikini right now due to time and my knee(which by the way is alot better!!) I feel like I would feel more confident in that division right now. My diet is ok right now but definitely needs massive changes to actually compete. Im doing protein bar before my workout, shake and gatorade w/ bcaas and creatine post workout. an apple at work at 11. carrots at 1:15, chicken breast, veggies and an apple at 3:15, protein bar or fruit at 6, dinner of protein and veggies at 830. sometimes a protein bar before bed for my chocolate fix. Superbowl sunday was horrible for me! Thanks ow for all your help. Ill pull your leg workout you gave me back out today.
 
May 5th would give you about 12 weeks prep, which is doable but no room for error. I think bikini would be the way to go for the first show as well (outside of seeing pics) but would be the most realistic for the timeframe. The diet is 80% of the equation and would be where you'd need to start...like OWL said...pretty much immediately. Keep us posted and we'd be happy to help!

I know this sounds crazy but you need more food. You should have a protein, complex carb, and good fat source on your earlier meals. Killing the carb for your late meal. Get you some casein chocolate flavored protein and kill that protein bar before bed. If you're really going to do this we need to get you on a good training routine and overhaul this diet immediately. I mean you have a great shape in your av and you could really do well. You just have to commit to the date and trust the process. You can do this girl!

Would you consider sending me that pic? I can't make it bigger since I'm a non plat scum and I'd love to be able to give you some honest feedback. Just from looking at it, I'd say figure might be more suited. You have some good muscle!! If not and don't worry...I'll understand....I'll write ya some more of my thoughts later today. :)

Sweet potato and brown rice is about all you have for complex carbs if you can't stand oats. We can work that fat off of the lower area pretty easy. If Cali is thinking figure it is because you are carrying some good muscle up top. Bikini girls are going to have more curves and less cut. Really it boils down to this. How do you want to look and what is most comfortable to you?

Thanks! Im certainly going to try. well see. my knee is feeliing much better except when i lean on it I still have pressure but im able to run now!

Yes a grocery store trip is definitely needed here maam. Good job on getting the right stuff. You, my dear, are starving yourself with that diet. Since we are going to ramp up the workouts we have to ramp up the food intake.

I was out of everything this morning so my food earlier in the day was limited. we dont have good things in the vending machines either(i have requested protein bars and almonds be added!) Ill definitely eat more tomorrow i promise!!!! i love to eat! though i actually had to force myself to eat lunch for some reason. i wasnt hungry. very weird cuz im always hungry.....My 300 pound supervisor laughs at me everyday bc im always eating!

Actually pretty well. surprisingly! cant believe i did 420 on the legpress being its been 2 months since ive done it. hip flexors tight but didnt bother my knee. I attempted weighted walking lunges at the end and i felt pressure in my knee so i didnt do them. doesnt hurt and isnnt swollen so thats a positive! No squat rack at my regular gym so ill have to make a spcial trip to the other y to use it probably. oh....cant do jump squats just yet either! i did one and stopped lol. I did sl deadlifts too in the same format and good mornings. Ill start writing things down.

I was at a mens tourney in the backwoods all day. It was 45 with a windchill of what felt like 20*. Any excuse to cookout and drink beer thell take it. I stayed at least 100 yards away the whole time. It's was so tempting though. I was so cold at one point I wasn't moving if there was a death by chocolate cake a couple feet away!!!

Shoot 65 is cold to me!!! I have 4 layers of clothes on right now and I'm workingout inside!!! I'm a true Florida girl. Flip flops all year round. I'd die in your neck of the woods!...mmmm birthday cake. Gotta eat a piece! I've definitely had alot of temptations this weeken so far. Roomies made cupcakes and homemade ice cream! I drank a protein shake lol

Her workouts are simlar in structure but more centered around her goals than mine. She is a tough chica but without proper anabolic help no one should be doing the volume I am. The body just can't handle it. However I am pushing hers to the edge. She is now a fasted cardio and lifting machine.

Just got done. Surprisingly not hungry....yet. It went well. Not used to lifting so light but could feel the it at the end of the set. I liked the volume but I wanted to do more lol.

Eliptical 30 min. 2 moderate 1 fast
Lat pulldown: 3x12x80
Single arm db rows: 3x10x35
Underhand bb rows: 3x10x45
Underhand pulldowns: 3x12x50
Stepmil: 10 min on 90spm

Also yeah on the lower cals thing it does catch up with you and have a couple sluggish days in the switchover but after that it's all gtg !

It's really the strictness of this kind of diet thats probably going to be the hardest. Nothing crunchy or sweet or salty. but it'll be worth it. Jonesing for some almonds right about now but this gum is tasting fantastic lol!

Yeah I know it sucks but like I told you when you look in the mirror and see what you have done all that salty sweet crap will be a memory. Lol:verygood:
