Do this jen, Dont let your heel on your step out leg be behind your knee on that same leg. Otherwise knee problems.

ok cool got it! i usually use those smaller bbls (60lbs) bc the dbls seem to pull on my shoulder if i do too many sets. :(

Stepmill: 10 min 80 spm
Squats: 1x20x45, 1x15x135, 1x12x155, 1x10x165, 1x8x175, 1x6x185
Leg press: 1x15x150,1x12x240,1x10x330, 1x8x430, 1x6x440
Bbl walking lunges: 2x20x60, 2x20x0
Calf on sitting thing: 5x15x45
Decline falling ham raise(subbed for lying leg curls): 2x10, 1x5 Charlie horse in both calves
Eliptical: 10 min

Hard but def doable. Leg press wasn't bad. Squats bothered my wrist and shoulder a bit bc of volume. But haven't done legs hard in awhile so it felt great. Thanks obsessed!!! Love it
 
Great job Jen! Very nice work ma'am. As you get used to it start increasing your weights and you will have that sweep in no time girl. Again great job!!!!!!

Thank ya sir! I'm glad I didn't go heavier in weight yet. Can't wait to do it again on Monday! Going to ramp up my protein too. Think I was slacking a bit. I've got a softball tourney all weekend in Orlando with no gym so I'll have to figure something out :/ I really appreciate u doing that for me! I needed a change!

Anytime. That is what we are here for is to help any way we can. I would agree to continue training with that kind if volume with heavier weght it is definitely a good idea to raise protein intake. Keep us updated. Good luck at your tourney as well.
 
bored and frustrated at work leads to snacking!!! bad! container of cocoa roasted almonds are calling my name. have only had1 serving....so far! been good eating wise today though. pure protein bar b4 workout. 24g protein shake and gatorade w/ bcaas and creatine. 4 hard boiled egg whites at 9. 1.5 servings of cocoa roasted almonds(1g sugar) at 11. cant wait for it to be 1! im starving...again. chewing my way through a pack of gum. lol

Oh so sore from leg workout Thursday! 2 days of playing ball and I'm waddling around the park! Lol feels good though.

Def made me sore!!! Tried to stretch over the weekend but since my team got knocked out early sat I ended up sitting and watching in the cold for the next two days and cramped like hell last night! I was really fun otherwise

Warm in Chitown today, 45°F. Felt dam nice, almost wore short pants, get a sun tan ya know....
 
ok so it was 65 degrees where i was but windy and i was in shorts and a tank top so...i ended up with a cold. curled up in a blanket at my desk at work right now. no gym in the morning. :( so sad. I dont envy the weather either of you are experiencing!

Hey y'all! Still sick!!! Been out of work for 4 days! Coughing up a lung! :( spending Christmas eve with a box of tissues and Popsicles. Feeling a little better though. Fingers crossed I'll be back at it tuesday. Hope everyone has a merry christmas!

I'm sooo much better!!!! But... There's something wrong with me left knee. :( it feels like a balloon is oblates behind knee cap weird.

Oblates? Inflated?

Either way, take it slow... No injuries! Your body might not have gotten the memo that you were hittin' it hard ;)
 
You could try anti inflammatory gel Jen. Glad your back with us.
 
hey yall! sorry ive been mia. my knee is really bothering me and ive been working a ton!! Yeah i meant inflated. figured out that my leg muscles are really really tight but theres something else wrong too but im being stubborn and not going to the doctor yet. im taking anti inflammatories and icing and stretching but no improvement. doctors may be soon. hope everyone had an awesome new years!

Hmmm if your getting fluid on your knee then you need to rest it sista. You did something that you knee joint didnt like so it built up fluid to protect itself. Ice and heat and rest. Try to figure out what you did and then dont do that.
It also could be from overuse or impact in your training.

If it is your knee and it has been a few days, I promise you need to go to the doctor!! I have had one knee surgery and already need two knee replacements!! So take it from me it is not worth it. Your knees are a valuable part of your body!

Hope you get better soon!!

I think it's my ex with the voodoo doll! He's not too happy with me. Knee is actually getting worse. Icing and meds. No gym whatsoever in a few weeks. Guess it's to the doc. :(

still havent been able to do much. tried the eliptical last night for a 30. felt fine while doing it then swelled a little an hour later. still taking meds and icing....but nothing is changing. going to set up an appt with the doc next week. fingers crossed for something minor!

ok, so it sounds like rest and ice (and possibly an NSAID) are the way to go until this appointment.

do you remember doing anything to it to injure it?

I was hit in the inside of my knee by a line drive then the next play I slipped and landed hard on it but it didn't hurt til a week later. Doc appt Friday. Going to the gym in the am and doing arms. Super depressed right now cuz of a few things. :/ thanks for all the help!

Made it to the gym finally....45 min on the eliptical and a few arm and ab exercises. Knee feels a bit swollen but the rest of me feels great! Doc tomorrow. Looking forward to getting back at it

Can you do abs? If you don't overdo it this should be enough to get your metabolism humming and your body to pump out a little GH. You can even use it as a little cardio.

Gotta improvise, adapt, overcome.

Thanks cb! I started back yesterday w/ two 30 min sessions on the eliptical w/ light arms and some abs. Felt really good to sweat like that again. But my knee def swelled up. :( felt better later in the evening. Got to do a shorter session on the eliptical today and more abs but I don't think my knee can handle it.

Yeah I did. She said the pressure was from the bruise I got from the softball hitting me. Since it's at a weight bearing joint the swelling sticks around longer. Not much fluid at all which is good so I didn't get the needle but it's a little swollen now after 2 days of the eliptical. Going to stay off of it for the next two. I'll check out the abs workout. Thanks! I've done p90x before and the abs workout felt so good so I'll definitely try. Oh please get on me! I love it! Made my bf kick me out of bed this morning and go.

Yeah I have a hard time balancing sometimes but I think I've done ok so far. Light lifting, no weight abs and on 1 resistance on the eliptical. Iced it twice already today. Doesn't feel too bad. :)

Shoulders and lats...at least 15 lbs lighter than I was lifting. :( didn't want to overdue it though.

Hey there d!!! I'm having a hard time being consistent again. I'm dating someone that doesn't workout at all and it's kind of hard. I've been going in the mornings before work but I'm still not getting anywhere bc of my late night eating with him. I've put him on a diet bc he wants to lose weight and being a guy he's lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks without stepping foot in the gym. Grrrr

Wondering if I should start taking something to get my body jump strted...I've been clean thus far. Idk

I really don't think now is the time mainly because to get 100% out of whatever you take you need to be 100% fit , so I know this really sucks but slowly and surely you will get back fighting fit. And then if your still thinking of sups I can give you my personal experiences and with that and lots of research you could decide whats best!,
