Yeah, my clothes are fitting better-I think-could be in my head. I haven't lost any weight though. Scale says the same thing it's said for the last 3 weeks. 179 flat. Starting to get a little irratated. Shouldn't I be losing like 2 pounds a week?

fuck the scale..unless you have a bf number to go with it, the scale is as usefull as tits on a bull

The scale only measures "weight". Weight is defined as weight, measure of the force of gravity on a body. You have no idea what the composition of that weight is though. Bodyfat is the ratio of your muscle to fat. From that you can determine the weights of each of those components of your body. As you are also finding, the room that muscle takes up is smaller than that of fat. That's why the fact that your pants are looser is more important than the fact that the scale isn't moving.

Here's another way to think of it --- if the pants are getting too loose, you can celebrate by going shopping for new pants. If the scale moves, what can you do? Look down and say "Wohoo! Smaller number!"

I prefer shopping myself.... :)

well said!

I hate the scale. Hahaha. It says I lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks.... ERRRRGGG!!!!!! I am not trying to loose it either.

I just read this:

"Muscle is almost twice as dense as fat; a pound of fat is 1.7 times bigger than a pound of muscle. So even though muscle weighs more than fat, fat makes you look bigger."
