I never had any problems sleeping either, but my hubby takes melatonin. He takes@11:00 and in about an hour he is OUT!
 
I have had sleeping probs since puberty 17 years ago. Melatonin doesnt do a damn thing. Maybe if your a normal sleeper and just need a little help it might work.

try Klonopin. That worked well. Valium is fine just dont take it more than a week or two.

Deli turkey I don't eat so much -- but real turkey? Mmmmm! I can't give up milk, though. All the wonderous aminos and calcium and all that, yeah, that's nice, but the truth is I just really love milk. I may get there someday, but I have enough habits that are actually bad for me at the moment that I guess I'll worry about the milk later.

Ditto on the tryptophan - 150 milligrams and I'm out like a light, with no side effects or "hangover" the next day. Melatonin works too, but I usually wake up a few hours after taking it even more stimulated than I was when I before I took it. Maybe others can weigh in on experiencing this, or why it happens - I'd make a guess, but my biochemistry is so rusty (epinephrine overload? dopamine clearance? Bueller? Bueller?), I'd just embarass myself. ;)

Good luck with your sleeping, whatever you take, though.

I'll have to try real tryptophan, I guess, cos I'm not sleeping well either and I don't feel like cooking a whole turkey.

Spatts, I hear ya about the amounts in turkey, but for whatever reason one sandwich always knocks me (and my whole family) right out. Probably cos I'm usually sleep deprived to begin with?

Personally, I'm on my 10th week of anavar and havent had any problems.
Are you taking anything else??
The reason I ask, when I'm cutting and taking ephedrine, even in the A.M. or early afternoon, it still affects my sleep a great deal. Also, lack of carbs impacts sleeps habits as well.
 
Prolly not the var actually... also be careful if you take melatonin if you are taking SSRI's.
 
I forgot to say...

I took melatonin when I was having trouble sleeping, and it made me sleep really well with intense dreams, but I had a lot of trouble waking up, and I often felt depressed until like lunch time. I decided I'd rather be tired, lol. Eventually I started sleeping again.
