Been working a different shift all week due to a class I am taking for work. Got me all messed up. Workouts have been rough all week. I needed a PR or two today to make me feel a little better.
Warmup
DB Cleans - 1x15
Windmills - 2x10 - Each arm
Standing OHP - Split-jerk style, no clean. (Pulled off racks.)
135x1x2
155x1
175x1
190x1
200x1
215x1 - Thought I would be done at this point, but it went up easier than I thought it would.
225x1 - PR, and Personal Goal!!!
I held it up for so long at the end because I was making sure I HAD that lockout.
Standing Strict OHP
125x3x8 - 2 rep PR on the last 2 sets!
Third set
I don't normally count this as a PR because the weight increase is planned. But last week, I only got 8,6,6 out of the three sets, so I decided to claim a PR.
Face-Pulls
4x15 - Light bands - 45 secs between sets.
CG Press - Index on smooth
155x3x8
Tricep pull-downs - Burnout
3x12 - Medium band
Felt good to hit a PR finally this week. 225 OHP has been a personal goal of mine or quite some time. Next goal, 255lbs.
