ME exercise cycling

dont know if im all mixed up......

but how often to you switch back to flat bench press (anygrip) for a ME exercise?
Is there a recomended patern of cycling the ME exercises......

and is there anything you would avoid like doing 3 weeks of close grip then 3 weeks of mid (dont know if this would cause an overtraining effect or decline in strength)

any suggested patterns?

At the moment

8" boxsquats (close stance) are my ME squat
and medium grip JM presses are my bench

and hopefully i would like to move onto
flat bench (mid grip)
and good mornings (standard bar)

both which were my last ME exercises.......would that cause any problems?

I never use the flat bench for a max effort mvmt. Save it. I rotate my exercises every week. They may go something like this:
wk 1 floor press
wk 2 3 boards
wk 3 2 boards
wk 4 rev band press
wk 5 floor press
etc etc

That is my basic schedule but I may vary it from time to time. ALso, for you lowerbody max effort mvmts you want to stick with some type of good am;s as much as possible. This last 16 weeks I did some type of good am for 14 of those 16 weeks.

we rarely just do flat bench without some type of variation, cycle your ME's however you like,i'll give you another tip from what we did last saturday at 1-dawg's gym....when you do the jm presses set the pins so the bar rest a couple inches above you,lay under andpress it off the pins,do it the same way you would do it without, differance is instead of coming all the way down like we're used to,the pins stop it a couple inches above your throat ,chin, and you feel it all tri's....even when you get heavier it won't turn into a bench press as it sometimes happens without the pins there....try em' that way and see what you think.....

Jm's are a tri movement. you should be doing this after you do your ME for bench such as 1-dawg has. I use flat bench for a lot of ME work but it all involves boards 1,2,3,and 4

Looks like we have the same rotation 1-dawg. Every once in awhile I will throw in 4 board with bands for some constant tension.

I just used the 4 board press as a max exericise on Saturday with the mann. I have only used it as an extra thing. I liked them but I found no difference between that and my 3 baord press. I hit the exact same as my 3 board pr. I will keep them in for awhile and see what happens.
