Mass Shooting at Virginia Tech...

yeah give everyone guns...especially testosterone fuelled students, that'll bring gun crime down. Genius.

actually, states that allow people to carry a concealed firearms have seen 78% decrease in public shootings.

now lets compare that countries that have strict gun control laws:

"In the four years after the UK banned handguns in 1996, gun crime rose by 40 per cent. Similarly, since Australia's 1996 laws banning many guns, armed robberies rose by 51 per cent, unarmed robberies by 37 per cent, assaults by 24 per cent and kidnappings by 43 per cent. Although murders fell by 3 per cent, manslaughter rose by 16 per cent."

hmmm.....

First off you do not know what effect the tumor had on the guys thinking
Second off mental and medical help before he became suicidal may have helped.

This is one of the problems with this shooting. There too many people who have "educations" but yet still making stupid assumptions.

You may not know enough but I do and it seems pointless to monitor him more closely after the tumor was discovered at the autopsy, unless you believe in zombies, its hard to justify the government spending.

Anyone who suggests that students should carry guns to school has got to be sniffing white-out

Guns need to be controlled tighter. maybe they will lighten up on steroids to focus in on firearms. I would agree with the move

why is it so inconceivable for college students to be legally armed without the world coming to an end? they don't make up a large block of violent criminals?

Many republicans cannot keep their cool. Don Imus got fired and now Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the Rutgers Womens basketball team are seeing death threats... And some of you wish to make guns more available...

I'm sorry but until the common sense and the maturity of many in the public changes , I can only see more murder if we make guns more available.

I'm not one for stats as i know how easy it is to get stats to support any point. I would bet a lot of money that America has a higher proportion of shootings than most countries where obtainign a gun is more dificult.

To me it is obvious that where there are more deadly weapons there will be more killings with those weapons and it is nothing short of stupid to suggest that students should carry guns. Those playground fights would get a bit more 'heated' if guns were encouraged on campus.

republicans? LOL!

first off, don imus is anything but a conservative radio talk show host.

secondly, what do the 'justice brothers' (sharpton and jackson) have anything to do with any of this?

hmmm.....

Gun violence in Canada down 40% (1991-2004) since stricter gun control implemented in 1991.

hhhmmmm.....

Who is seeing the death threats is totally irrelevant. The fact that left wing folks lobbied and won an issue means that others in the right have to issue death threats.

I wonder how many links I have to post of abortion clinic doctors and workers being assassinated before the point hits home.
