Macronutrient Ratios

EV Olive Oil is what I plan to use for my main source of fats, is that alright?

So if I go, let's say 25% fats, should I do 45% protein, and 30% carbs?

What would you guys recommend as my macronutrient ratios for bulking with DC training?

Protein - 50%
Carbs - 40%
Fats - 10%

Or what?

DC has his own diet guidelines. I would suggest you follow them. He has a supreme emphasis on protein, as well as moderate fats (mostly healthy) and moderate carbs (none to trace at night).

Last time I was bulking on his diet, it would theoretically end up something like this:

400 g protein = 1600 calories
300 g carbs = 1200 calories
200 g fat = 1800 calories
4600 calories

This fluctuated a lot though as I would go to buffets and stuff pretty often.

wow that's 39% calories from fat. Seems a tad high. If I were doing it I'd trade like 500 fat calories for carb calories. You need something to fuel those training sessions, and without enough carbs it's just gonna be that precious protein.

That doesn't count the 75-100 g of protein/carbs post-workout. I agree the fat is pretty high but it's really easy to just dump olive oil in a shake.

300 g of carbs is pretty high, considering you don't eat them at night. That means most likely 3 meals with 100 carbs each, which is a helluva lot.

the 39% fat cals does sound high...but its from quality fats or should be. don't see a problem here

300gms carbs a day is plenty. 100gms postworkout and then 200grams throughout the day. for those of us who work out in the evening all the carbs will be eaten probably before the early evening period.
